I have been completing some of the jumping puzzles that I have never done before. I must say they are quite refreshing to do. Many of them are extremely well designed. I am very calm and at peace at the moment. The jumping puzzles only accentuate that feeling. If you haven’t done one of the more excellent jumping puzzles, then you may be really missing out on a hidden gem.

What race are you playing? Because if you’re a Charr, the jumping puzzles would not be calming. :p

It’s not about height, it’s about the posture of the Charr. When out of combat, they stand hunched over, and they run on all fours. The problem is that their model is actually larger than it appears to be. So, when trying to get as close to the edge as possible before jumping, Charr often unintentionally jump sooner, because it looks like they have less space.

It’s confusing to explain unless you’ve played a Charr enough to see it yourself.

You can always roll a different character just for jumping puzzles.

I finished all the jumping puzzles in the game on max size charr.

It’s really not that much more frustrating than doing them on a tiny asuran character.

I actually feel like it’s easier to land delicate jumps on max size charr than on an asuran character.

Use tonics to change yourself into another form. My wife uses the infinite princess doll tonic, but any of the humanoid tonics allow you to jump and they’re cheap.

I like jump puzzles but learned a long time ago full sized Norn was not a good option.

One of the challenges I’ve set myself is to complete each and every jumping puzzle in the game on ALL my characters. (Human, Norn, Asura, Charr, Sylvari) Some of them were EXTREMELY painful on a max-size Charr, but I’ve done all bar the ones in Orr now.
