It seems like an easy decision… To just buy the ascended gear and get it over with, but I sure do want that silly Endless Mystery Cat Tonic. Though the assorted gear for the various classes (Ranger Gear, Thief Gear, etc) for 5 Laurels has me curious. Perhaps it has a chance to give out Precursors? Hard to say, but I’m too much of a sucker for Cat Tonics.

What are you going to go for first? Or maybe you’re saving them up in anticipation for other items?

First thing is first, an ascended amulet.

After that, probably going to outfit a new set of +gold ascended gear (for dungeon runs)…

After that, I dunno, maybe the tonic or the mini pets, although I don’t collect minis and tonics are all fun but probably not worth it save for the, “LOOK AT ME!” factor.

why plus gold, MF would be better as most of fractal/dungeon money comes from drops not monsters?

I do have trouble deciding what I want first though, dyes, cat tonic, Chauncy von Snuffels, gear boxes…..
It all sounds so good!
I think I’ll just start with the dye- I spend a fortune on dye atm, so free dye is great.

Don’t have to worry about an ascended amulet seeing as how I already have one, as well as having 2 ascended rings. (actually more like 20)

Firstly amulet, then gold infusion, then T6 mats or dyes.

Chauncey von Snuffles. I expect that by the time I get that, I can get the amulet and infusions (with AR) via Fractals. Those 60 Pristine Relics I have sitting around won’t go to waste. Besides, the exotic version of the Ascended one I want is more than enough for now.

I’m very curious about the profession gear thingies for 5 laurels. Random rares or exotics. Are they profession-unique skins? Or are they just existing skins of the armour class your profession can wear? That question will probably be answered by others before I get 5 laurels together. In the first case, I guess I’ll spend my first 5 laurels on Necromancer gear.

My Laurels will go to Berserker Amulet for my Elementalist

I have a mesmer coming up to 80 so I will buy her (a) gear box(es) depending on what they drop. My other 80s don’t need them so I will wait to save up for jewellery pieces.

At the moment, none of the ascended gear has stats that compliment any of my builds.
So I’m going to continue to bank them for the time being.
I’m also curious to see if ArenaNet will ever actually pull their collective fingers out and let us craft ascended gear. If not, what’s the point of crafting?
So this new, unique currency currently has no value to me whatsoever. If they don’t change rate of acquisition and they continue to be obtuse with releasing different ascended stat combinations, it looks like I’ll be going for the cosmetics.
Although even there the current implementation of minipets and how they are displayed is so half-baked as to be utterly pointless.

I’ll keep collecting them, purely because I always do my daily.

And you can bet your bottom dollar I won’t be spending a single laurel on any of the RNG crap they’ve included for low laurel cost.
Seriously, what a waste.

The endless cat tonic, no question:

- Ascended gear can be acquired through the Fractals.
- Dyes can be bought or will drop eventually.
- The minipets are nice but many can be acquired already for a few silver so I’ll get these special ones eventually anyway.
- Exotic skins are nice but I’m happy with the way my E ngineer looks at present.

Gear boxes for the 78-80 Rares or Exotics. At 5/box it’s cheap, and I hate the dungeons.

I’m interested in the Mystic Binding Agents. If those turn out to be worthless, I’m just going to save my Laurels and get nothing.

I’m going for the amulet first, then whatever other ascended gear will become available. Maybe at some point the dyes, but none of the other stuff looks that interesting.

And nothing to put it in? It’s not a versatile infusion, so it can currently only be slotted into ascended amulets with a utility slot.

I’ve already spent 1 on t6 mat bag, I don’t recommend it. (I got 3 t6 mats)

I didn’t check the prices of T6 mats, so I don’t know it it’s better to have 15 T6 mats or to sell 10 unid dyes.

Probably the dyes, since the mats are a gamble on value (depending on mat type).

That said, wait until we have a better sample size for data on the mat bags. Three might be an abnormally low return.

Each to his own, I suppose. I wouldn’t gamble on it, though – and I wouldn’t expect an alternative until after the first wave of players has its amulets (i.e., late February).

Depends on what the mystic binding agent does. If it works like I think it will then I am probably going to spend all my laurels on them for a while.

Probably the crafting kits. I hate crafting but I see it as needed and anything that streamlines the process is worth it.
