So given the rumored 2015 expansion, is Anet up to the challenge of fixing the game?, we know for a fact that Blizzard make complete reworks of stats and skills, is Anet up to the same lvl?.
Among the many things that need fixing.
1- Getting rid of intensity stacking buffs and debuffs: Just no, Half or more of the stacking comes for the most part, passive effects aka juggernaut or sharpshooter, or from passive triggers linked to stuff you any way but not specifically to increase the count aka weapon swapping or using healing skills. In reality you are only consciously triggering may be 6-8 stacks tops, out of 25, this is unnecessary clutter.
My Suggestion: First get rid of stacking, make it flat if anything make it duration stacking, second Change this so that you trigger a significant skill say once every 30 seconds for 30 buff/debuff duration. You will trigger before and may be mid fight, removes the clutter, which this game has TONS of.
2- Make them less, more meaningful skills: GW1, had 8 skills, WoW has cracked down on skills number on the new expac. GW2 has 11 to 20 skills depending on your class. Half of them you dont use, half of them you use them once every couple of fights. To make matters worse you have to go gear hopping to make the combination you need unless you macro it out.
My suggestion: get rid of every 60s+ CD skills, make CDs shorter but more meaningful, 30s CD means effectively 1 or 2 per fight.
3- Remove auto attack from the skill bars: Auto attack is exactly that, it should not be on you skill bar, much less so when you cant customize it.
My suggestion: Make a proper auto attack, replace with relevant skill.
4- If you are going to have a frantic game with ground targeted auto attacks aka grenades, you cant remove or not center your mouse when moving your camera (right mouse button).
My suggestion: Add an “Action camera mode”, make character behavior the same as if you were holding down right mouse button, but have your pointer centered and functional at say 1/4 or 1/3 from the top of the screen.

There is a rumor/comment from a korean holdings company, talking about anet and a supposed paid expansion release alas gw1 for next year.

That is exactly what i was talking about. This shows the clutter and disconnect this game has with its player base. I am sorry for Anet, but this is not the game we wanted, there is a reason a successor to THE pvp mmo was turned into pve, it is not that people dont like pvp, i would bet most of the people that loved pvp back in gw1 bought gw2, it is simply that pvp here sucks and i would rather they swallow their pride and we get more expansion to buy, than this almost game that does not know what it wants to be, we have a system geared to a pvp scene that very few play.
oh and by the way that video is 2 years old, glaciers move faster than Anet.
