The personal storyline that takes the player to meet Destiny’s Edge still takes place in the old Lions Arch map. Can you update this to reflect the changes to LA as it stands now for players.

It is designed to be that way. That is what the map looked like when that happened. We are living in the future now….

The personal story takes place before the events of LS1 and 2. It’s meant to be in the past, and in the Old LA. Otherwise the later story makes no sense, or NPC’s around LA talking about it being rebuilt.

Makes sense but it may confuse some of the newer players. I have been playing since original beta so I know when it takes place but the fact that new players are running around in the “future” makes it possible the will not understand why the map looks that way for the storyline. In fact all of the LA storylines for personal story take place in the old map.

I’d say let it confuse them. That way they’ll be curious about it and get information about lore.
“Confusion” in itself is a bad argument imho. They’ll be as confused about whatever will happen in HoT or LS3, because they missed the stuff before, unless they update themselves on what happened. Same here

as they continue story, it will be made clear to them…. if they put living world 1 back in. the cutscene does help

I’ve seen this post before….months ago, when people were asking Anet to fix the personal story and make it so they could see the old Lion’s Arch again. lol

I love the change. I wander through old LA and mourn the good old days… I look forward to my alt’s story there

Yep. Before Lion’s Arch was destroyed.

When we bought the game, and played it, this is the story we played…more or less anyway.

And they are suppose to. If they can’t grasp that it’s in the past, maybe they are too young to be playing Gw2 in the first place.
