I have consistently had issues on world events. Whenever I’m on a map with a meta event that is desirable and there is a full map, once people start the taxi train for their friends I will get disconnected. I have only had it happen when I’m not part of a party. Lately it has been crashes, previously it was network errors that would knock me out.

I never cared about the previous meta events because they never appealed to me. However, with HOT rewards tracks and skill unlocks being tied to experience from meta events, it is very frustrating to have that taken away from by someone jumping their friend into a map that never contributed just so they can collect a reward while I get bounce to an overflow with no chance at a decent reward.

I don’t have issues with network connections or system crashing playing WvW on full servers, or any other time.

Please do something. This isn’t fair to people that spent time working on the meta events to be bumped to an overflow while people taxi their friend in for the final encounter.

One of the underlying causes is the “taxi” system itself. It puts you at the mercy of the LFG system and it blows. It’s a result of clever manipulation of game mechanics and if Anet did officially support map hopping as a viable means to get things done, we’d be able to literally open a menu and choose which map we wanted to join. It would show useful information such as how many players are currently on it and let us migrate at will instead the current system of sending players into an unending repeat of dead maps closing.

ANet could create a few place holder guilds for the mega server to ferry people to specific meta event chains.
