Fix the game for multiple monitors
Are you playing the game on one monitor with the other monitor for other things, or are you playing with the game stretched across both monitors?
I usually have the game up in one, and Firefox up in the other, and I’ve always found the experience worked perfectly well. Windows 10 will occasionally show the taskbar over top of my (otherwise borderless) game monitor, but hitting the Windows key and then clicking back to the game fixes that.
I also keep the game on my primary monitor all the time (since the other one is SD instead of HD,) so I haven’t tried getting it to be borderless on the secondary monitor. I could see where that might not work as well.
I play on my primary and have other things to my right and left. The cursor likes to move to the left and right outside of the game which is really stupid. I used to have 2 monitors and liked to play on my non primary but that doesn’t work because there isn’t a real borderless window mode. One of my friends does the second too and always tells me it’s very annoying.
Currently gw2 lacks some real basic modern game features such as borderless window (I can’t decide which monitor the game is on like any other game with real borderless window) and constrain cursor that make this game annoying as hell to play with a multiple monitor setup. Does anet have any plans to fix this ever? Thanks for your attention fam XD
I use borderless window just fine. It opens borderless windowed on my main display, and I can easily move the cursor from the GW2 window over to the other display. The cursor doesn’t move between displays when I have RMB held down to mouslook with it. It actually stays exactly where it was, so when I release it’s exactly where I left it.
What is the problem you’re having? Like, you have a 3 monitor setup and want to do a super widescreen or something?

Clearly this is an issue if you ever use action camera. There should be an option to stop this from happening. You should also be able to move the borderless window between monitors so you can choose which monitor you play on (literally every other game does this), but for some reason gw2 snaps the window in place no matter how you move it.

I run eyefinity with 3 monitors… Are you using an AMD or Nvidia card?
Look buddy I really don’t care that you run the game spread across 3 monitors. That’s great for you. I want to run the game on one monitor and not have the mouse cursor move out of the game window onto my other monitors where I start clicking my browser or music player.

Wow. I know what you’re asking. Maybe my first sentence was not worth mentioning, but the second part I asked in order to >TRY TO HELP YOU<. Knowing which card/monitor setup/ and drivers will go a long way to helping you figure out your problem. Wanna try this again or should I just leave you to your own devices?
I have a 2 monitor setup and if action cam is active it doesn’t move the mouse cursor, as with right clicking in normal mode.
Or are you complaining that the cursor is otherwise not restricted?
Also having something like a game restricted to the primary monitor can also have a performance reason.

I use a nvidia gtx 770 with 2x u2414h and u3014

The cursor moves only in action camera mode and constantly goes off screen. And restricting to primary as a performance reason literally makes no sense.
So I ran into this problem today as well…
Dual monitor setup, both connected to a GTX 970.
Main monitor on the right, additional, taskbar free monitor on the left.
GW2 should run on the left monitor, but it defaults to the right (main) monitor when put to full screen or windowed full-screen at the left monitors resolution (please refrain from advising to use the left monitor as my main monitor, since this isn’t an option).
I’m of Augurs of Gas.2184s opinion as well… I am surprised GW2 doesn’t support what I consider a basic modern game functionality. I could even make Fallout 3 work in windowed full-screen on the left monitor per default and Fallout 3 is known to be a kitten about everything… and F3 is a game from 2008.
This is very disappointing and annoying and prevents me from streaming GW2 without jumping through hoops and further hassle.
