So, by fixing the game economy, do they mean make everything more expensive?
So far I have seen most items go UP in price, not down.
For example, the endless batwing potion used to be 170g and now it is about 400g.
There was a VERY temp drop in price for a lot of things directly after update, but it only lasted a couple days.
So, how has the economy been fixed? So far I have not seen this glorious economy fix they claimed to have implemented.

pfft. Precursors and silk. lol
Precursors went down because of the new legendary crafting. That should be expected. However, the crafted legendary’s apparently aren’t the same as the ones we got before.

It wasn’t really to fix our economy, more anets. A lot of players use gold to gems, So the best way to end that? lower everything across the board. It is a bit greedy. If anet never wanted that to happen, they shouldn’t of implemented such a thing. They are sugar coating it, just like they did with personal story to lvl 10, and when that didn’t work they physically removing keys for once a week. Now it could be that everyone is rushing to get legendaries and guild halls and wtf ever we can get at this time. Though the economy fix ws for them, not us.
It has become basically real world. Tp flippers will now be the fair owners of majority gold. and the ones who actually work and play will have to do the most work. but you know flipping doesn’t need a handicap.

I think the batwing potion is unlikely to be the best indicator of the overall health of the economy. It was never common, and this year it’s an ingredient in a much-talked about, highly sought-after new item. It’s not hard to understand why the price went up on it, and its price is unlikely to affect the non-Halloween economy in a significant way.

You’d be better off looking at the changing prices for things like silk and thick leather sections. Those are items most players interact with frequently, and were both notoriously expensive and cheap, respectively. They’ve both changed prices markedly since HoT came out.

Precursors got also cheaper because t5 mats to craft rare weapons got cheaper.
The 3 crafted 2012 halloween weapons, aetherized weapon skins, poly upgrades, limited time recipes and AR infusions all got cheaper and thats just from the top of my head.

Oh boy, other than blood, T6 fine plummeted. Haven’t looked yet to see if they are still the best value for converting Laurels.

Pretty sure they stated that the economy would be fluctuating and unstable at the beginning of HoT… They did also give a sink to leather and other low use mats. Batwing Tonic is a bit out of reach but just by farming and selling trick or treat bags as well as tattered bat wings you could make enough gold to buy it.

They went down because you get lots during the event. When the event is over the mats will go back up. Most of them already have.

People should also keep guild halls in mind. For those who haven’t looked into it, pretty much all upgrades (and there’s quite a lot,) take a ton of materials from all tiers. It’s honestly a huge sink to begin with, and most guilds are rushing it for arenas and such. That’ll drive plenty of prices up.

They did warn about heavy impacts to the game economy and giving it sufficient time for the market and people to adjust.

Guess, what: 1 week on top of a Halloween event is NOT sufficient time.

As was mentioned, some thing got way cheaper (see all those couple of silver recepies? Some of those were hundreds of gold). Stop ignoring the data that doesn’t fit your view.
