Just putting this out there because I know at least once it was screwing with my mission (bug reported that but naturally I can’t repeat the mission to see if it changed, because I did actually get through it).

So it turns out that when two friendly NPC’s get in a fight to the death, often never ending because of how truly depressing their damage output is, you can make them forget by stealthing them.

I tried this out when I came across a whispers agent attacking a priory (arcanist? or something) that eventually started to fight back. As an engineer I used smoke bomb and blew up a turret in it, area stealthing all of us. They just completely forgot and went back to normal. Of course if they have conditions going you might need to rectify that too, but they have no lasting idea what they were attacking, it seems.
