Flawed drop-rates and items
… and lose the MF.
The drops are a lottery already without MF upping the ante. Try farming without it, see what changes. Most people won’t use MF because it’s ineffective in a fight but only supposedly increases the chances of scaling the loot table up for your drop.
I haven’t used it in ages and I’ve had ‘normal’ drops as opposed using MF and getting crap all the time.

And stop farming open world…is not worth, everything was found for a good way of farm, was removed or not working as intended, open world farm is impossible in this game, stuff nerfed, removed, not working as intended, you can go farming 3 hours expecting to get charged lodestones in x place….the best way would be to go and do dungeons like crazy for gain gold and tokens, or play Trade Wars 2.
The new Chests are good and give a new incentive to do those events.
I’ve had this same issue. I see all these posts and people in my groups tell me they get 3-4 rares every event, while all i’m getting are porous bones. I barely ever get bags, and if i do all thats in them are silk or leather sections. I haven’t gotten a rare in almost 2 weeks i think, and frankly the drop rate has become so bad that it’s taken a lot of the fun out of the game for me. there def seems to be some kind of drop rate bug, i dont care if anet says there isn’t. its obvious from the amount of people having this problem there is.
It is the same droprate issue Anet dubbed as “resolved” last patch. Issue itself has not gone anywhere. It seems to be per-account, at least I am stuck with it permanently. I got tired of complaining on forums, but here`s the clue: try to write ingame support you`ve got a DR issue and ask them to remove it. You won`t get any answer, but I did it twice and after each time my drops improved drastically for about a week (then went back to non-drop).
