Anyone else play female charr over male charr just because of the fluffy tails?

No, I play female Charr because I prefer a char that doesn’t look like it needs major dental insurance to pay for a set of braces.

On topic, I have two female charr and one male. Honestly not sure if the fluffy tails had a large impact in deciding that but I do agree the fluffy tails are superior.

All except one of my Charr are females mainly because of the tail, (and being female I tend to prefer to play female characters). The one male was created in memory of my recently departed Ragdoll cat and I would have loved the fluffy tail on him, but the lion like mane was more important and only available to the males. I also found a face in the makeover kit that looks quite gentle and has no teeth showing. I would do a screen shot but I have never worked out how to upload one from my computer, (Im not exactly computer savvy)

Yeah it is a shame they took the tail selection out from the game. When it was in Beta Charr no matter gender could pick fluffy or non fluffy

There’s no “touch” option available for the “fluffy tail” so it really doesn’t matter…

Lies. Unless it was the early closed betas, this is not the case. Certainly was not the case in the betas that occured after the pre-purchase became an option. The tail difference is the main diffrenciator of the genders of charr (I believe intentionally from Anet).

My charr is female because I am female and thus I make only female characters. The fluffy tail is just a bonus.

For me, all my characters are female (as I am). The fluffy tail is just a bonus.

I will, however, be making a male charr for Revenant, because I love the male charr’s voice acting.

Used to. That and the face/hair superiority.

Recent makeover additions favored male charr though, so I got a male thief charr put together pretty kitten well.

As for dental plans, ANet is notoriously unfair to its virtual employees. Look at how many dull and broken fangs we get out of wargs, wolves, and other such critters.
