Flute Music Sheet Compilation
Can anyone please assist me in putting this song to the flute? It has been a favorite song of mine for a long time.
I hope they know they mislabeled the solfege…
Dashes just denote phrases. (Trying to make the post not soo long.)

Eyes on Me: (Higher octave in parentheses)
5 (1 2 3 5 3)
Whenever sang my songs
(2 3 1) 6 (1 2)
On the stage, on my own
5 (1 2 3 5 7)
Whenever said my words
(7 8 6 5 6 5)
Wishing they would be heard
(5 8 8 7 6 6 5)
I saw you smiling at me
(3 5 6 6 5 4 4 2 3)
Was it real, or just my fantasy?
(3 3 2 3 4 3 2 2 1)
You’d always be there in the corner
(1 2 3— 5 2)
Of this tiny— little bar
5 (1 2 3 5 3)
My last night here for you
(2 3 1) 6 (1 2)
Same old songs, just once more
5 (1 2 3 5 7)
My last night here with you?
(7 8 6— 5 6 5)
Maybe yes— maybe no.
(5 8 8 7 6 6 5)
I kind of liked it your way,
(3 5 6 6 5 4 4 2 3)
How you shyly placed your eyes on me
(1 2 3 4 5)
Did you ever know?
(4 3 1 3 2 1)
That I had mine on you.
Chorus
(1 3 5 7 6 6)
Darling, so there you are
(6 7 8 6 5 5)
With that look on your face
(3 3 4 5 4 4)
As if you’re never hurt
(4 5 6 6 5 5)
As if you’re never down
(1 1 3 5 7 6 6)
Shall I be the one for you?
(6 6 7 8 7 5 7 6)
Who pinches you softly but sure
(4 5 4 8 4)
If frown is shown then
(1 2 3 3 2 1) 7 (2 1)
I will know that you are no dreamer
Repeat for II and chorus
If only they’d release an instrument in C Major, I’d be able to do more FF songs XD.
If only they’d release an instrument in C Major, I’d be able to do more FF songs XD.
The key doesn’t matter. You can take any piece and transpose it into any key to make it work. Even if they released something in C Major it would start on Do.
Other than accidentals the biggest problem I’ve run into is not fitting into the octave restraint.

That’s what I meant. Even if I were to transpose something, I will most likely encounter an octave problem… (as opposed to having an instrument in a different key where I can perhaps have more room)

Again the key (other than major, minor, dorian, etc.) wouldn’t matter. What would matter is the starting note. Like a violin in C major but the lowest note being a G rather than C.

I know lol. We are basically saying the same thing :/ Yes the key wouldn’t matter, but having another instrument in a different key would be nice as a lot of the sheet music that I have tend to follow C.. I wouldnt really want to transpose everything when we could simply have a different instrument in a different key, or maybe even an extra octave on the flute

Edit: Someone did a Youtube tutorial of this song on the Ocarina. I assume it’s similar and might help someone format it for our beloved flute.

Sadness and Sorrow can be played?? I freaking love you right now
Can people hear you play music in wvw? Your own at least?
Wouldn’t mind seeing “Wind” by akeboshi. Thank you creative folks =P
Can someone post notes for full “My heart will go on” ? I’ve been trying to improvise but it wasn’t the best.
I have the beginning refrain and first half of the first verse for “Fear Not This Night:”
(Edit Notes: With the changes made to flute, I removed all “repeated notes” Instead just hold the notes, someone has requested a video to explain better, but I do not have any video software on my computer; however, here is the link that I got the music from originally by using the notes written for the flute: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqFrF2X4tfs)
(Refrain)
6-8-(9)3-(9)6-8-7—5-7-6//
Fear not this Night you will not go astray
6-8-(9)3-6—-5-5-6-4-//
Though shadows fall, still the stars find their way
(First Verse)
(9)8—-7-8-7-6-7-8-7-6-5—7-6//
Awaken from a quiet sleep. Hear the whispering of the wind.
8—-8-7-8-(9)2-(9)6-7-8-7-8-(9)2-(9)8-7-6//
Awaken as the silence grows in the solitude of the night
(9)3——2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1-(9)7-(9)1-2-1-(9)-7//
Darkness spreads throughout the land and your weary eyes open silently
(9)3—-2-3-6—3-6-5-(9)6-(9)5—6-4-2//
Sunsets have forsaken all, the most far off horizons
5-6-7—8-7-6 ……. 5-6-7-8—6
Nightmares come when shadows grow…..Eyes close and heartbeats slow
(Refrain)
6-8-(9)3-(9)6-8-7—5-7-6//
Fear not this night. You will not go astray
6-8-(9)3-6—-5—6-4-//
Though Shadows fall, still the stars find their way
(Second Verse)
(9)3-6—5-3-4-5-3-5-6—8—3-4-5//
And you can always be strong. Lift your voice at the first light of dawn.
4—-3-2-(9)7-(9)2….. 4-5-6-5-3-1-2//
Dawn is just a heartbeat away…. Hope is just a sunrise away
1—-(9)7-8-7-6-7-8-7-6-5-6-7-6//
Distant song of melody scoring through the night to your heart
(9)1——(9)7-(9)1-2-(9)6-7-8-7-(9)1-2-1-(9)7-6//
Auroras make circumstance in the solitude of our life.
(9)3—-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1-(9)7-(9)1-2-1-(9)7-6//
Pleading silent arias gently grieving in captive misery.
(9)3——2-3-6—3-6-5-(9)6-(9)5—6-4//
Darkness sings a violent songs yet our hope can still rise up.
5-6-7—8-7-6….. 5-6-7-8—6//
Nightmares come where shadows grow…. Lift your voice lift your heart
(Refrain)
6-8-(9)3-(9)6-8-77-5-7-6//
Fear not this night, you will not go astray
6-8-(9)3-6—-5—6-4-//
Though shadows fall, still the stars find their way.
(This is as far as I was able to get. After the third refrain, the song switches keys three times for the bridge and final refrain, and as I am not very adept at music, I was unable to move this over to the in-game flute. I apologize if there are any flaws or discrepancies, and please feel free to point out errors and build off this! Enjoy!)

Hi there,
Would it be possible to add in the score for “A thousand years” by christina perri please:)
Thank you:)
I would like to request the song “The Shire” from the Lord of the Rings.
Actually, I would like ALL the songs of LOTR on flute but its probably too hard, I can only play a small part of the beginning.
Here is the reference:

I have a request for as many avatar: the last airbender/Legend of Korra songs as possible that include flute-like instruments. Also if someone could specifically do the song Peace:

Thank you!
If anyone is taking requests, I would love to play The Great Toymaker on my flute. Something about the song is just really catchy :x

I wonder if Picard’s Flute song from Inner Light would work on this?
Dashes just mean phrases. Parenthesis is upper octave. You’re on your own for rhythm.

My small contribution: notes between parenthesis are the superior octave and dahes mean you have to hold the note a little longer.
Note that this is not like sheet music, and it’ll be easier for the rhythm if you know the song.
And by the way, the flute is in C Major, not E major like I read earlier in this thread.
Jurassic Park: can’t go further than that with the flute as it requires half tones.

This is based on the flute solo parts from the Orchestral Suite version of The Inner Light instead of the raw TV soundtrack (both written by Jay Chattaway). This was primarily because there was more material available to use, with the prominent theme is distinctly heard. There are other slight modifications to allow for the music to flow and accommodate the scale used by Guild Wars 2.
May any kind soul help and make me a play sheet for this?

Theres 5 gold in it for the first man to do it right.

Bumping my request, has anyone glimpsed at it?
We can’t, this is not the right key.
Please note that the flute can only play the C major key, and only with two octaves.
So there is something like 90% of all music you can’t play on the flute.

With some imagination, one can transpose songs into the flute’s key (which is E actually) and make it almost fit the original. Many of the songs I’ve figured out don’t match exactly to the original due to us not having half steps to work with. I’ll attempt your request but which part are you interested in from that video? The man singing or the background instrumental?
edit: So after playing around with it, yeah that song is actually pretty rough. We’re missing too many notes to make it sound anything close to what it should be. This goes to show how awesome having sharps/flats would be Anet!

I am not a musician. I cause san loss when I try to make music with voice or instrument RL and I have only the most rudimentary idea of how to read sheet music. But I’ve been able to get some nice tunes on the flute thanks to all of you.
Formatting! I, the horrible non-musician, have found the ones done in this format the easiest to touch-type and produce ( the below is not an actual tune, just the idea of how to type one):
5 (123 4 223 1) 786 5 (456 6 456)
Where a plain number is the lower octave and anything in parentheses is the higher one. That way each time I see a ( or a ) I know it is time to tap the 9 and it stands out as not being a note, plus sequences clearly show which octave they are in. And a space means let the note hang a moment before hitting the next one.
I’m voting for all the posted songs to be in that format. Also for more classical and folk. Much love to the skilled music makers who can help us all sound classy!

@Donari
I really like that notation actually, I hadn’t thought of it before but I think I’ll go back and edit my posts with that format, it’s classy.
Also, all these avatar requests reminded me how awesome that show was, and this one tune popped into my head and I HAD to make it. I present “Long way from Ba Sing Se” that Iroh sang when he was begging!
-like Donari posted, inside () are upper octave, outside are lower octave-

Hit the play button to hear it. It’s not exact as I replaced the low B notes with C so it fits all within one octave (using 1 through 8 without switching) with Do (button 1) being low C.
Edit: Put in a line I over looked.

First and foremost thanks for taking an interest.
As for the part, well i dunno, the melody not the man i guess since i dont think that can be replicated in any way. Any part that will sound coherent enough so i can recognize and my fellow countrymen as well. So i guess instrumental yeah.
Here a few variations of the song, perhaps some might be easier to decipher:

Can anyone please assist me in putting this song to the flute? It has been a favorite song of mine for a long time.
I’ve been fiddling with it for a while, I don’t think the flute in game is the right key for it.
But none the less I’ve gotten the opening, I think:
- Higher octave
(6 7 8 5 – 4 5 6 2 – 1 2 3) 7 -3 8
is there a way to play the black keys on flute? for example c sharp?
anyway, heres The Rain Of Castamere. h = high octave, you only need two octaves.

Jigglypuff’s Song

At the risk that I might kill someone from nostalgia alone, does anyone feel up to the task of recreating the Wind Waker title theme for this flute?
I refer to this, for you poor souls who aren’t already familiar with it:
Any chance of getting You’re Not Alone (FF9 Soundtrack)?
To the guy who was requesting the skyward sword song. I believe that it’s Zeldas lullaby played backwards. -insert mind blown here-
Me and a friend managed to figure out the start to Crimson Belvedre ~ Eastern Dream but after that we’re stuck, if anyone could figure a bit more out I’d be very happy.
This is what we have so far;
(- means switch octave, start in the low one)2 4 6 5 4 3 2 1 2 2 4 6 5 4 3 – 1 – 6
and for those wondering its this theme;
I don’t think you’ll have too much luck with that. Crimson Belvedere’s key forces accidentals when transposed to the notes we have.
That said, the chorus is approximately this:
653 2 2 1 3 4
653 2 2 1 5 4
653 2 2 1 3 4
4568 (2 4 32 1 2)
Not entirely accurate, but it’s close and doesn’t sound too bad.

Someone needs to do Eye of the Storm from gw1 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph69o2lurEY
Can someone make this song easier to understand
Star Spangled Banner
5-3-1-3-5-8 U3-2-1 D3-kitten U3 21 D7 6-7-8-8-5-3-1
3-33-kitten 4-3-2-3-4-4 3-21-D7-6-7-8 U3-kitten -
8-8-87-6-6 6-U2-4321D7-5 5-8 U2345—1-2-3-4-2-1
I tried messing with it but it’s just forgien to me. I think people should just post them normally without going into depth
ie
352 352 352 9 21 9 5432 etc instead of making all these symbols. It’s a simple flute keep it simple stupid =P kiss
yeah after trying to play amazing grace and not being able to cause the way it was written was really upsetting =/ props for the people who figure this stuff out. I honestly just memorize the tabs people post here. but some are waaaay to complicated for how simple the in game flute is. just post 9 from now on please it’s much easier.
