That is really a cool thing. I’m looking forward to it.

Will it be possible to jump from the Airship in Genderran fields and fly to the ground?
I wanted that from the very beginning.

Please consider invisible walls instead of no flying zones. Invisible walls are not pretty but better than jumping from a cliff realizing this is a no fly zone.

Yes, I agree. I’m looking forward to it too.

I was in Dry Top helping some with their diving achievement earlier and thought about how nice it will be to be able to glide from the goggle platform there.

In terms of ‘invisible walls’ and ‘no flying zones’, I can’t see any reason why they would do anything different than what they’ve already done for water in the game in the zone edge areas. That seems to work fine for the most part.

Can’t wait for the lines of players climbing the lighthouse in Lion’s Arch.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

They announced that there will be no fly zones in (some?) jumping puzzles.

I’m afraid the no flying zones will make gliding in LA bad. A better alternative would be to add a JP starter at the beginning of each JP that needs to be activated or else the chest won’t open. As long as you have the JP buff you can’t glide.

Sounds like a perfect and remarkable simple solution to me and would keep all the jp’s untouched, and will prevent chest reaching shortcuts from other places bypassing most/all of the puzzle in some areas (if that can be done). Well you still can but it won’t open the chest you won’t get the achievement for finishing the puzzle. But you can glide around the area for fun sake if you feel like it without hitting a wall, no fly zone.

Im looking forward to the gliding in Central Tyria.

1 question though: Cities, and more specificly home instance areas.

More than a year ago in some updates invisible walls were put up in Divinity’s Reach to prevent players from accessing the home instance areas without making it an instance. This mostly effected the Roleplayers who enjoyed the open empty areas with no NPCs, and couldnt get there anymore conveniently.

So my question is, will we be able to glide freely there now? Or the bottom of Rata Sum? As the blog post said “As long as your explorations remain harmless, it’s all part of the fun!” It was harmless jumping from rooftop to rooftop to get to Salma district to RP, but it was taken away just the same.
