Why is it contested.

Maybe this has been discussed before, but I didn’t see it.

It being contested seems to have no purpose. I guess it could be some kind of storyline thing, but to what end?

Its not a big deal, just a miner irritant.

It was eaten by Mordremoth. It’s very annoying.

Destroyed is not contested just change the icon give the ui people something to do.

I get it. It was destroyed. If it was destroyed then it is no longer there. If it is no longer there then why even have it show up on the map? What’s the point? Just remove it. No sense in showing it as contested if it’s GONE!

I imagine they’re keeping it there for when its finally repaired with the rest of Lion’s Arch. You know…. in 2018.

Mordremoth showed up and dropped 4 guild catapults. I called for help and the only response I got was “Fort Marriner is paper, let it fall”. I went to grab some supply to build an arrow cart to defend the place…but someone had taken it all to build a trebuchet atop Troll’s End. So there you have it. Fort Marriner fell. I hope everyone is happy!

It (and all the other destroyed waypoints) are still there, they’re in pieces on the ground.

the waypoint is still needed for map completion. therefore it still needs to appear on the map. simple.
