Hello I have been looking though the forums and I’ve seen a lot of locked threads today and most of the time the mods locking the treads are not even speaking proper English.
Example:
Hi,
We lock this topic and advise you to get in touch with the support to have this issue resolved.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The forums indeed experience this kind of momentary incidences. They typically return to normality after refreshing the page or after some minutes.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
I proceed to lock the thread.

Now I don’t care one way or the other I just though it was intrusting that a company would hire people for NA servers that can’t speak proper English.
I hope i dont get a ban for this

Spelling errors aside, I’m mostly disappointed about the copy/paste replies.

And why is that?

More likely the fact that it’s late night/early morning in the US, and so the European divisions of ANet and/or NCSoft are manning the forums – and not all of those individuals are going to natively speak English.

Seems kind of silly to cover the overhead of keeping their Seattle offices up & running at night for a skeleton crew of community managers when you’ve got plenty of them on the other side of the pond who can handle the decreased overnight load.

I don’t doubt that on the forums of other languages, we’ve got native English speakers trying to use their second languages to help people on those forums during their “middle of the night.”

I hate to say it, but for somebody complaining about the proper use of English, yours wasn’t a great deal better.

“intrusting”

Not to mention the moderator used a comma after his or her Hi, whilst you failed to.

;) Sorry.

Note: Not saying my English is perfect, just pointing something out.

Copy/paste replies lack any personality. It’s the equivalent of a robot saying “thank you, have a nice day” over and over and over again. It’s like talking to a brick wall. And that frustrates me more than any spelling error.

Oh i wasnt talking about the comma im talking about the “I proceed to lock the thread.”
Or the " We lock this topic "
My spelling sucks because i’m dyslexic. Spelling and i do not go good togeather but i try my best.

As for the comment about the NA offices being shut down and stuff. I didn’t even think about that.

I think you meant interesting. And they weren’t speaking English, they were writing it. I think your bigotry will probably just be ignored and I doubt they’ll bother to ban you. If English is your first language, you should probably become more fluent in it before you criticize folks that are writing it as a second language.

I find it depressing that someone would focus on a couple of minor grammatical problems that are obviously due to English not being the writer’s first language instead of being appreciative that the forums have 24-7 moderators. The meaning of what the moderators wrote is clear.

OK, now I’m even more depressed that someone with a communication challenge like dyslexia can’t have some compassion for folks writing English as a second language.

Don’t ever think you know what’s right for the other person.
