Hi,
I chose to “buy” a fractal equipment box a few weeks ago, and I was surprised by the behaviour.
While the tooltip only says X quality items will go to this bag if possible, all items in it are not affected by the options of bag “compact” and “deposit collectibles”.
Is this working as intended or is it bugged ?
For bags such as invisible bags, it is displayed in the tooltip but, here, nothing says so, which means either it’s not working as intended or the tooltip is missing information.

Just a detail even if I think it’s the same for all : I’m talkin about the uncommon rarity, but I guess all equipment boxes have the same system.

That’s a property of all the special bags, AFAIK. That is because the items in them (armor/weapons of whatever rarity in this case) are supposed to stay there and not be put in the bank or compacted into other bags.

Ok, so only the “normal” boxes crafted by tailor, armorsmith and the other don’t have this “problem” ? All specific ones work like that ?

No, most of the craftable special boxes (except for invisible/safe ones, of course) are subject to both eq reorganizing and collectible depositing. This does indeed sound like a bug.

yeah i was wondering if it was a bug or not, however materials do get send to the collection tab. (im using the green boxes, uncommen/mastercraft?)But the compact does not work. Still, even if its intended: 20 slot bags that usually would normaly cost 20g + and you can literally get 3-4 of them just by getting to fractals lv. 13 so im not complaining.

Yeah, maybe deposit works (maybe I had tried it with collectibles I had already in my bank).
You’re talking about the craftable special boxes, but which ones do you mean for instance ? I only think of the “normal” ones and the invisible ones.

Offhand i can remember also armor boxes and crafting material bags. I think there’s also one for junk stuff, but not 100% sure about it at the moment, might be confusing it with something else. Each armor crafting type (light, medium, heavy) has one special craftable bag/box besides normal and invisible/safe.

Bought 15 slot craftsman bags rescently. Couldnt compact with them.. So i sold em and bought leather bags.. Good o leather bags… They worked just fine

Well, so it seems it’s not only those bags. Some can compact and some cannot, that’s very strange. I wonder if there’s another way to have an answer from Anet about this. Don’t hope on the forum, don’t hope IG … well …

Yesterday, I filed a bug report on this. We’ll see if it brings an answer or if we still have to stay in ignorance of the true answer.
