Fractal weapons - why no extra stats?
I don’t understand why the ascended gear is account bound even after equipping on characters, but it has no stats except basic exotic stats (power+defence on shield)?

Because this gear is exotic, not ascended quality.
Ascended weapon have higher stats, but currently there’s only rings and back pieces available. Legendary weapons will be upgraded to ascended stats at a later date, so if you want to invest in BiS gear today, start saving up for a legendary.
That shield is not even ascended….
Don’t confuse the name with the rarity.

Fractal weapons are just skins. Weapons with “Ascended” rarity haven’t been added yet.
Oh I did mean to say fractal instead of ascended, I’ll see if I can fix that.

They are unique weapon skins that brag to anyone who sees them how B—A— you are, just like the arah gear did before.
You doing fractals is supposed to sate and demonstrate your requirement for skill-based combat.
If you are asking that fractals and only fractals provide you with a statistical advantage over your fellow player, you have a lot of self-examination to do.

No, I think he will be rewarded actually. They havent lived up to anything they said in the ama and how hard would it have been to add an ascend vendor ect? Very little just adjust badge/karma and bingo away they go.
But no there is continued reduced loot drops (rates) in the open world and fractals get a buff in loot. It tells me he will be rewarded for doing that over and over with better stats.
I fully expect Jan to have a release of new gear in dungeons and they will not allow it be made available outside it. Because it should have been already made available.
The balance team(2 people Lol) has already started the shifting of balance per toon in order to force people to roll alts. There is now a dungeon grind where only the best loot will be made available. See where this is going? I do and dont like it.
