Hi guys/gals,

Saw this on the wiki and was wondering about this:
Additionally, the total amount of damage done can be increased by the player’s Condition Duration attribute, although burning, poison, and bleeding only deal damage once per second, meaning that any fractional duration is wasted for these conditions.

So if I have a rune that increases condition duration by 10% and bleeding by 15% which is a net gain of 25% for bleeding and my Explosive Shot is a two second duration it will not increase damage at all because it will only bring my duration to 2.5 seconds and not 3 seconds. I’m pretty a condition built engineer with rampagers gear so not sure to roll with rune of the mad king or divinity.

Confirm what?

That conditions only tick once per second, and “extra” duration is wasted? yes, that’s absolutely true. You need enough extra duration to give it an extra second or you won’t get any extra damage (the tooltip will reflect the damage another half second would do, but it’s a lie)

It’s just one more reason condition damage is bad.

The information in the wiki is wrong. Fractional duration increases the chance for extra ticks. This can be observed on any condition, but is most obvious on a single 1 sec base burning. However, various condition duration enhancers may not stack together as they should, or outright not work due to bugs.
