Freakin' Oakhearts..
Obviously they have anger management issues. ^^
They were there before those events came about and they will be there when those events are gone. That’s their home. When ANet places an event in a site, they don’t delete any mobs there. They remain and keeping an eye on them is part of combat and situational awareness.

Keep a decurse utility on hand, and cleanse the aoe bind.
If you don’t attack the oakheart, he at least won’t go red even if his aoe snares you.

I have soloed these events myself and also seen these issues with the oakhearts. However I do not blame them, I blame Anet for putting events in some locations where they will crossover into other events and/or mobs where they know they will also impede the said event.
Having said all that, sometimes the oakheart has even helped me to kill the bad guys on occasion so it’s not all that bad.
