Guild Wars 2

As a player from BWE2 and recently coming back to the game to sadly find my guild on a completely different server I figured I’d give it a shot and ask for a free server transfer as our anniversary gift. I also share a birthday with GW2! PRETTY PLEASE!

Here’s some sad kittens to express my feel.

would be possible.. in the 2nd year brthday gifts or 3rd year brthday gifts or 20th year brthday gifts.
although a mas free transfer will just lowered low population servers and make more lags to high populated ones..

A free transfer would be amazing. At least, I’d like to see a reduced server switching cost, seeing that it costs about half the game’s price!

The reason they dont have free transfers or why the price isnt lowered is because if they do so people will keep bandwagoning on whichever server is more popular. For example lets say a server like blackgate drops to 5th tier in wvw. Then every wvw player on the server with a free transfer would be able to switch to a first tier server.
If you really want to switch a server just pay the money. Or farm and switch gold to gems. Its what 1800 gems and 100 cost like 4g or something. That means you need 72g to switch which isnt really that much…

I’m not asking for it to be permanent. Just a one time swap for one year accounts. And 72g is a lot.

It’s really funny. I see the argument of “all of the servers are full, there are no ghost towns, every map has people in it” every kitten day. Yet if you bring up free, or reduced, transfer fees all we see is “no if they did that people would transfer to servers with other players on it”.

So which is it guys? Is it that there are plenty of people, and then people wouldn’t need to transfer to the server with higher population. I seriously doubt anyone is going to admit that some servers are…GASP ghost towns.
