I am trying to recruit some WoW Friends to come over. Is there a way to a free trial? If Not could you guys make a trial say levels 1-10 free?

There were like two such topics made recently; one of which someone from Arenanet replied to. Here’s the short answer:

Currently, there’s no free trial. However, if there’s gonna be one, you’ll find informations about it on the website.

I really think they should have a free trial.

Make it just like the trial weekends they’ve done before where (if I understood correctly) you can do everything except use the trading post and send mail (to stop gold sellers using free accounts), but can only play for 48 hours.

Except ideally it should be any 48 hour period, from when the account is created. The thing that’s put me off inviting friends before is that it’s over a specific weekend, with relatively short notice. Which means a lot of my friends weren’t able to play because they already had plans that weekend.

Also I seem to remember there was some special Living Story event going on the same weekend, which meant I’d have to either show my friends around and miss out on that, or leave them to play alone while I did the event and neither is a particularly appealing choice.

It took them 3 years to offer a free trial for Guild Wars 1. If they are already discussing free trails. They are about 2 years faster than the first time.

They have had a free weekend though. It was timed with the lost shores. Unfortunately it was not well executed as there was a massive amount of lag during the event. Including entire server crashes. So much so that they had to give people who were at the event free chests.
