I just found out that buying the game now would include a free digital deluxe upgrade, shouldn’t we, who bought the game earlier, be rewarded with the same free upgrade? or is there something that i missed?

Probably not since it wasn’t a promotion back than like it is now.

I have to agree. If you bought some from the store and it was on sale later doesn’t mean you get that deal.
