I know a lot of people are getting annoyed with the gold spammers, and while I don’t know that anything can be done about them in Chat, I was wondering about an idea for the Mail.

What about a “Receive Mail from Friends Only” option we could turn on, so that only people on our friends list can mail us?

There are times when, for hours, every five minutes I have a new gold seller message in my inbox, and with how limited the inbox size is, it gets really frustrating trying to rush to delete them all so that I can actually receive messages from my friends and guild mates.

What do you guys think? Could this be a viable fix (of sorts) for all the gold seller mail spam?

I report them each and every time, even when it’s the same one day after day, and I have blocked some of them but there seems to be an unending supply and stopping to block each one is just more work when trying to play than just deleting them (see OP).

But that is ignoring the fact that there are so many of them, i report them every time i get mail from one of them and i get at least 2 from them every time i log in.

I completely support a friends and contacts only option for mail.

I would love this. Or at least institute a captcha when you try to mail somebody who doesn’t have you friended.
