Hi there, I have been searching on the forums and on gw2 wiki about mail, friend list and so on… wanting to know:

Can I add my friend, who plays on a EU server, to my friends list, even though I am a NA server player?

I figured out that I can write a mail to my friend. So at least it says on gw2 wiki about mails. Haven’t tried it yet because I dont have her character/acc name yet (forgot to ask before she went to bed) but I will try soon.

Would be reaaaaally great if someone knows and could post an answer here so who ever else wonders the same as me can find an answer right away.

You can party with, write mail to, and whisper someone on a different region than you. So, I would imagine you can also add them to your friends list.

No need to imagine, I have a guild member on my friends list who keeps swapping between NA and EU, and he remains on the list no matter which region he’s in.

Yes, you can add your friend to your list.

The only thing you cannot do is join the same instances.
