Should I hold onto them to sell later or sell now?

I have 3 wintersday weapons and 15 frostforged weapons.

I’m assuming the price will hike up but how long does that usually take?

I don’t think it’s that simple. The prices do go up over time, after new sets are released and the older ones cost more than 1 ticket. It’s just not as predictable as it used to be because old sets do cycle back around sometimes, or they’re added to the chests directly whereas before once a new set came out the TP was the only way to get old ones.

I also suspect there’s fewer people buying all the weapons from all the sets now there’s so many.

Ugh. Only if one doesn’t care about the looks of the equipment one uses.

Many of the Wintersday weapons skins look great, kudos to whoever designed them. The gift-wrapped weapons skins, however, look horrifying. As for the Frostforged weapons: those would have looked quite awesome had they not added those ugly green stones — also, all three, the green stone and the supposedly “iced” weapon parts as well as the gold-colored grips, look like cheap toy plastic (bad texture/color choices).

The Frostforge weapons aren’t bad looking but they seem a bit too cartoony. The frost aura also seems a bit too stiff.

I used to get these skins to sell on the TP but the market has collapsed. There are too many being pushed out too frequently and older sets being brought back to the market, which brings down prices, for demand to increase the price above what a ticket costs within any reasonable amount of time. You should calculate how much you spent to get those skins and figure out how much gold you need to ask for each to break even (plus the 15% tax) to see what price you should be looking for.

I only use tickets for weapons for myself now, having been burned by the market collapsing. You can hold on to them for future sale but it may take months to get a somewhat decent price and this price may not even cover your costs if you were to sit down and do the math. If ANet re-releases before you can sell them it you might as well put them aside and check back in a year or two.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.
