I’m still noob. I bought the priory greatsword, paid my 5g 52s and copper chump change for it. But, I only wanted the skin. I can’t destroy it or unlock the skin. And it’s soulbound immediately.

All I wanted was the skin and I wanted it badly enough to pay over 5g. I’m actually pretty mixed up about skins. I want them for all my characters that use greatswords.

You would think after playing this game for over a year, things like that would be second nature to me. But, sadly, I have only recently started collecting skins for armor and weapons in the last few weeks.

Equipping the level 30 priory greatsword I got from the story did not unlock the skin for my wardrobe. And it wouldn’t let me salvage that weapon. So, I paid gold and bought the level 80 version and I still don’t have my priory greatsword skin in my wardrobe.

That sounds like a bug. The skin should have unlocked when you equiped it for the first time.

I just went and brought it just to see if there was a problem with it, no problem, did you try right clicking on it?

Is it possible you are misunderstanding how this works? The skin should be unlocked, but it will not be an item in your inventory like when you buy an actual skin, seperate from a weapon. You have to select it from your wardrobe screen and spend a transmutation charge to change your current greatsword into the model you want.

Sorry If this is not the issue, just making sure.

Not lvl 80 so can’t equip weapon.
Salvage weapon and it’ll be in Wardrobe.
Keep weapon if you intent to use it at lvl 80,
but you won’t get the skin unless you either
equip or salvage the item.

It’s very possible I’m not understanding how this works. I wasn’t level 80. So, that didn’t work. But, I thought I was just going to salvage it, so silly me bought it on a level 35 character that was instantly soulbound to. So, it will wait in my bank until I get to level 80.

I will try to right click on it. I know I have to use a transmute stone to use the skin once I select it in my wardrobe, my problem is getting it to my wardrobe. And I wasn’t able to use the skin from the priory greatsword that was level 30 that I selected as a reward from my story. So, I thought maybe they did that intentionally so we would have to buy it from the npc at the priory.

Thank you all for your help. I hope it’s just me bungling and not getting it right and when my character reaches level 80, it will unlock for me.

Priory, Vigil, and Whispers gear (armor and weapons) can not be salvaged. The last time I bought the gear, I could not even flush them down the Mystic Toilet.

The order gear is soulbound on purchase and added to the Wardrobe immediately no matter the level of the character buying it. Check your wardrobe using the search feature. If it is not unlocked, put in a bug report.

Thank you. I did right click on the item and the unlock skin feature was shaded out. But, I will try searching more diligently in my wardrobe.

Thank you.

Ravion Hawk is right, it should be there. Select Two Handed Weapons on the left, then type “Priory” in the search field. You should see it.

Or open your hero panel on an alt with a GS equipped, go to wardrobe, click the GS, and look in your set of things to the left. Again you can type “Priory” in the search field to narrow it down. If it’s there, you’ll need a transmute charge to apply it to your current blade.

Like Ravion Hawk said, any accountbound or soulbound items purchased are automatically added to your wardrobe.

The reason why the unlock skin option was greyed out is because it has already been added to your wardrobe.

As suggested, use the search bar in the wardrobe in your hero panel or at the bank to view your unlocked skin. It’s unlikely that it’s a bug, just a minor oversight.

Providing your character is wielding a greatsword, click the wielded greatsword icon in the wardrobe section of your hero panel and you should be able to reskin it with the one you desire. It will cost 1 transmutation charge.

The level 80 greatsword I purchased from the npc at the priory is in my wardrobe now and I used a transmute stone to apply it to my current weapon.

However, the level 30 sword (not the greatsword) item from the rewards of the story is not in the wardrobe. It too is greyed over as if it had been unlocked, but is nowhere to be found in my wardrobe. The only thing I can think of is that it is not available unless you purchase the level 80 version of it.

That will be expensive, but I guess it keeps us from farming those really, really cool looking priory weapon skins.

Thank you everybody.

Don’t you get the option “Add to Wardrobe” when you right click on the item?

Is it maybe in the wardrobe with another name ? Some skins are available with
different names, and maybe the skin from the quest had just the same skin
than a common weapon you already have.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

You do get the option of unlock skin (which is grayed out) when you right click on the option.

I have so few weapons in my wardrobe as it is, about 9 in total and I have checked every name. I have the greatsword now, but I do not have the sword (level 30 reward from story) in wardrobe.

Priory weapons are so awesome looking.

There is only one skin for each weapon(for each order). There’s only one Priory greatsword model. So unless you picked a different weapon for your level 30 reward, you shouldn’t be expecting any other skins to appear.

If you want. Equip a great sword and then go to the wordrobe tap an select the GS. That will then show all the skins you have unlocked for that weapon. Then take a screen shot and post it. We’ll see if we can see it for you.

Can you post a picture of the lvl 30 reward one that’s not unlocked?
Maybe we can help figure out if it’s in the wardrobe under a different name (this happens a lot)

I chose the greatsword reward on my guardian and the sword reward on another character I’m leveling. I also want to get the mace, focus and possibly the scepter. And the trident is nice too.

As it stands now, no matter what, those level 30 weapons I receive as a reward that I’m allowed to choose do not have the skin unlocked in my wardrobe when I either right click on it or equip it.

I can only imagine it is so we won’t all be farming them. I will have to spend gold to get them. I usually use greatsword, but I like the sword and shield for my swap.

you have to look at the skin name, not the weapon name. You character level has nothing to do with being able to use skins from your wardrobe. A lot of the swords use the same skin, especially lower level ones.

Pretty sure it’s just you not understanding how the system works

So I’ve been following this thread since it started trying to wrap my head around this.
I found your story reward and there’s no known bug surrounding these masterwork weapons and the wardrobe feature. I’m currently levelling another Engineer and I will go for Priory to spot anything.

Durmand Priory Weapon Container Level 30

Edit: These weapons are called Priory in the wardrobe since they use the same skins as the Level 80 variety but are level 30 masterwork for levelling purposes.

Can you post a screenshot of the tooltip of the item that didn’t have its skin added to your wardrobe?

The only thing I can think of is that sometimes an item will have a skin name that’s different from the item name. For example, The Legend uses Imryldyeen’s skin at the moment, so if you search the wardrobe for “the legend” you won’t get any results. In cases like this, the item will have some text in the lower middle of the tooltip stating what skin it is using.

It should be in your Wardrobe. Put another GS on then go to the Wardrobe and look at what skins you can apply to it. I know my armor works this way but weapons should to.

Look at the weapons again, under the stats, there is a line like this “Skin name: Unlocked”

if it says Unlocked, you already got that skin. The skin name shows in that line is the real skin name you should look for in the wardrobe, not the weapon name.

Soulbounded, account bounded, right click unlock, throwing in mystic forge or destroying will automatically unlock the skin, provided you didnt have it unlocked yet. And it is a one time thing, if you missed the popup, you wont see popup again. But the skin is in wardrobe. Check again using the Skin Name (not weapon name)
