Frustrated trying to play with friends
I don’t think a server transfer costs any money, though it will cost you your guild influence and yes, make it harder to group up with alternate guilds. I’ve never heard of it costing dollars or gold. Well maybe you have to pay some game money to remake the guild on the new server? But your guild members won’t be out any money.
Swapping to a new server is free every 7 days. Also yes, the way Anet did the servers appears to be a very dumb way. Instead of showing servers by how full they are (actual people playing) they show how full they are by accounts associated with the server. Which when no one is using those accounts the server might as well say empty.
Hi…well you can try to have everyone switch to one server the best time is late at night or very early in the morning 1-2am ( from my expereince ) changing severs is still currently free so thats not a problem just whisper/mail your friends on what sever to check for an opening on and wait for them to arrive it might take a few days but they will come if they really want to group with you……A-Net bans bots pretty reguler so open spots open up all the time…..hope this helps you

Pretty sure that’s not true. Very few servers are full during my evenings (Oceanic primetime). And I have had a bunch of people move to Blackgate (my server, one of the more popular ones) since launch, they just had to wait till the early hours of the morning to get in.

Well I have a very hard time believing the server I came from had a high population. There would be maybe a hand full of people in Lions Arch. 0 people in almost every map. It was getting to the point where I would see more bots than players. Maybe it doesn’t work the way I think it does but whatever method there using isn’t accurate.
Bots count towards online active population. So does WvW. There are so many ways that people could be hiding from you.
