Hi all!

First off all I want to start off by saying I was an avid gw1 player running all the expansions on good old gw1 and when I finally got to play its successor I was beyond excited. I played for hours and hours but something just felt off in the beggining, alot of the quests, dungeons and dynamic events didnt feel as polished as all the previous expansions in gw1 was when they came out, but at least there was people everywhere speaking in general and being on the field helping each other.

Anyways I was too confused within myself if I should continue and just drag my own opinion on about Arena net as such a quality developing studio or take a break and wait until they smoothed things out; I decided on taking a break.

Now six months later or so the game feels alot more polished and most of the things seems to be working but the game itself just feels empty, the players running around everywhere seems few and far in between and none is barely chatting anywhere anymore. This is something new since I’ve always experienced alot of interaction and action in gw1 expansions no matter what times or how long the expansions has been out. There were tons of players running everything from leveling, doing UW/FOW runs, bgs, hoh, or whatever it was.

So the bottom of my questions guess relys on playerbase; has it died off alot or is it just my server? (far shiverpeaks if you wonder) you can barely do any quests or events now cause there seems to be no players around just helping out. So im I stuck on my journey or the mentality or does alot of you also feel the same thing?

tl;dr

Do you also feel frustrated cause the playerbase seems to be lacking?

Thanks in advance
Illona

The attempt to spread out players through WvW wound up having the exact opposite effect. As such, three or four servers wound up clogged with people, three or four having middling numbers, and the rest appear to be ghost realms.

My server seems fairly populated. Always have commanders doing world boss circuts and seems someone is always trying events. Lots of time gotta ask on /m map chat to see if others are near you. Ooh I’m on CD.

i am in far siverpeak and found it’s the LS that pulls everyone away, Anet is to bland to think in a general sense and instead makes all LS stuff in one area, not really living is it….
when all the LS rushers have calmed down they will spread out more, it always happens that after 2 weeks the community there go’s there own way.

Just be warned that you’ll have to pay at least $20 to transfer to the most populated servers.

I’m on CD too, I find it better to guest to a higher pop server for world events. Especially for marionette as well, CD is actually really bad at it.
