My friend just purchased the game and can’t get on my server. Is it tied to accounts that have made the server home, or if they wait until the wee hours will they be able to get on the server?

Kinda stinks to pay 50 bucks and not be able to WvW together.

Some say yes, some say no. Your friend can try checking the Server status at different times of the day, and may (or may not) find its status has dropped to Very High. Good luck to him/her.

Depending on the server I think it is very likely that when transfers go on sale, and the super low rank servers have free transfers, higher ranking servers may lose people to the free transfers. I think that’s happening soon, so I’d recommend waiting and seeing then.
