Guild Wars 2

HI so me and my friends are geting back into gw2, we are all on TC, now less a week ago, would say 5 days ago a friend got the game, and was able to join TC on the 2nd try. how ever a other friend go the game 3 days ago and is unable to join TC, and has tried over 300 times :l is their any trick to this? he tried 5pm all the way to 4am… 3 days in a row…

is this true? cuz it would really suck for my group of 10 ppl move off the server :L i like TC too… everyone is just so nice to me

No trick to getting on a Full Server. Some are most fortunate, but usually it’s somewhat difficult.

As more and more Servers reach full capacity, ArenaNet may raise the population cap. In the meantime, barring WvW play, your friend can play with you from any other server (in the same Region).

I saw TC has openings at around 12:00~12:10 (GMT +8) last night. The server population drops to ‘very high’. I’m not sure what caused it and if it will happens again. Hope that helps.

Why would you think the staff are lying to you? Accounts based on a server have to determine the server’s population because, unless ArenaNet had unlimited server capacity, what would happen if all (or even most) Accounts decided to log-in at the same time (say, during Wintersday or Halloween or some other popular event)? Would it be acceptable to receive a message that stated, ‘Sorry, you can’t log-in today, as your Home Server is full?’ There is a reason the Worlds have a capacity limit.

I play at all manner of odd hours, and I very rarely see the Full Servers drop down off of Full status. But, as you can see, some do notice this. Again, you must be very diligent and fortunate to find a space (when accounts are banned or transfer elsewhere) in the most popular Servers. Or wait for a population-cap increase.
