Guild Wars 2

Hi Everyone, it’s my first post in the forums and I just want some opinions from the fellow guild wars 2 players.

I currently have a Level 34 Warrior and I’m getting a tad bit bored with it. (Human)

I’m not asking for an “overpowered” class, I just want to find a profession (if possible, the race as well) that I might be able to enjoy. I guess I am more of a “ranged” person.

I don’t mind story line too much because Guild Wars 2 isn’t a story mmorpg like SWTOR, but at least one that is somewhat interesting?

All Opinions are Appreciated and Respected. No Need to Bash and Compare to WoW please.

I find Asura absolutely amazing. They’re funny, and their animations are the best in the game in my opinion. About professions, can’t help you None of the professions currently in-game ‘fit’ me, I’ve about 10 characters so far hoping to find something to suit me, but nope. I’ll just level both a Guardian and an Engineer, but I’m not really happy with either.

My first toon was a Human Warrior, but that got boring around level 50.
So I switched to an Asura Thief, and wow.. It’s just plain fun. The Asura animations along with the Thief animations just match up so well.

Best animations I’ve EVER seen. The ’I’ve been running so fast I’m about to fall over’ lean is awesome!

I have an Asura elementalist and will work on a human thief next.

I have a human engineer. Once I finish making sure she’s decked out in top-end gear, I’m probably gonna do an asuran warrior or thief.

A Asura Engineer very entertaining. I see a trend. lol

Im currently doing a sylvari thief and getting a pretty good vibe from this. Something about the combo interests me. Thief is something in my mind that sylvarians wouldnt follow by at all, but some how this mends togeither quite well in the game though. Its like a single weed grew in the middle of a huge flower garden and your the weed. haha

Norn thief.

How can something so big be stealthy/quick/discrete at all?

Mesmer is easily the most enjoyable profession for a variety of reasons.

Race? I prefer female norn but there’s a few I’d enjoy just as much, I think.

Sylvari ranger… Best combination ever!

A race that comes from the nature combined with the class that is one with the nature.

Funnest race ? Asura, they make me chuckle everytime. They run like my 5yr old nephew… hell for leather !

Funnest profession ? Engineer. Lots of bombs, turrets, flamethrowers and other crazy kit. I have heard the Engineer profession is a tad buggy atm but Anet should iron that out in short order.

Soo… Asura engineer…. honestly that combo just works!
