So I recently played through the Silverwastes and came across Mordrem Menders. Is it just me or is it really funny that they have stated no trinity, but the enemy gets healers. And tanks (Mordrem Husk Smasher). I realize it is in order to make the enemy feel more complete and like an army but i find it hilarious. We the ones who left the trinity in the dust are getting beaten down by a bunch of plants who decided to take it up.

Not that I agree or disagree with using a trinity in any way I just find it very entertaining that the enemy (mindless plants) are smarter then us civilized folk by using a heal/tank system.

It is already possible to play both healers and bunkers as a player. Most players just prefer berserkers lying on the ground.

It’s also possible to run around naked and spend no trait points, and about as smart. Bunkers might take a this less damage than a zerker, but they’ll be lucky if they’d doing half the damage the zerker is. Their role in PvP isn’t even what it used to be, though it’s still better than the other thing you mention.

That thing being lol healers. The heal stat and team heal powers are all so much junk that anyone trying to play a healer has done nothing but kitten themselves in order to put out somewhat larger piddly poo heals.

So yeah, ‘possible’ in roughly the same way doing other increasingly stupid and pointless things is.

Bunkers – kinda niche, never essential.

Healers – you’re trolling your team, and perhaps yourself. Not a thing else.

Agreed here on these two points. Healing Power has never been a good stat for any gametype thus far (WP pointed this out in a video of his) and bunkers have a really niche role. As far as the enemies getting a ‘trinity’, it doesn’t affect us. And to be honest I think the Mordrem-Trinity is very fun to fight. It promotes certain targets (menders>everything else) and creates strategies on how to take down certain enemies.

“No trinity” doesn’t mean “no roles”. It means “no exclusive roles bound to professions”.

In other words, you will never make a build focused almost exclusively in a single role, like healer that all it does is just looking at healing bars and heal like monks did in GW1.

Even if you go around with a nomad guardian or elementalist and put all your points and pick all your skills for healing, you will still have control and damage skills. Just look at the Ice Bow, it gives +healing, but it’s also one of the greatest sources of damage an elementalist has.
