I wouldn’t hold your breath. If the teased Ranger and Engineer changes are any indication, it looks like it’s just going to be more tweaking of existing weapon skills for a long time to come.
I know, I know… But a man can hope. As feeble as these hopes may be.

“Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane. " Ellis Boyd ‘Red’ Redding, The Shawshank Redemption
All I want is more weapon diversification. Even if we don’t get new weapon classes, I just want to see existing weapons opened up to more classes. I would bet that they don’t want to deal with the balancing nightmare but playing the same stuff is getting really boring.
I want them to bring back attributes.
saving and loading templates
guild halls
new skills or new weapons for each class(prefer a few elite options and a utility skil or two for each class)
a new dragon event(really liked majorette hoping something along its line would return)
bug fixs and clipping issues fixs

- Saving and Loading Templates: Trait and Armor Setups (Like in GW1)
This x1000!
Last feature pack’s ability to freely reset traits anywhere has made it so much more fun to experiment with different builds, for me it really unlocked a part of the game that I didn’t touch that much before (since it was rather inconvenient). Being able to save templates would be a perfect addition.
I love the idea for hard mode on the living story instances. I’d like to elaborate on it.
Have it so that once you unlock the living story content in the journal (by completing it once) you also unlock the option to do it in hard mode. Make hard mode designed for 5 players like a mini-dungeon. Enemies are scaled for 5-man and loot is also scaled up. Enemies gain new abilities to make them more challenging and there are new achievements mostly aimed at earning a title or something cosmetic to display.
- Hard Mode
- Templates
- Raids
Yes! Xenon has said exactly what I was thinking a hard mode should be.
The templates simply are a must, should have came out w/ the trait refunds imo.
Dungeon fights feel too small and constrained. Give us raids for 10+ people and bosses with multiple phases. I like the latest “Dragon’s Reach: Part 1” end fight with Rytlock over any dungeon battle thus far.

Among a bunch of other QoL fixes.
Updated tooltips.
- Precursor crafting
- Build Template saves functionality
- A few GW1 style instanced maps for parties of up to 8 that you can clear over and over again with normal and hard mode available at level 80
- New dungeons replete with armor and weapons sets and token vendors
- New PvP Modes and maps
- Upgraded Custom Arena Functionality
- Fractal Armor skins w/token vendor for those unfortunate enough not to get the pieces as drops
- New Fractals
- New race(s)
- New maps contain the ability to “clear” them like old maps with reward for doing so, but do not count as world completion
- New utility skills for every class
- Existing weapons added to characters that have had them before (Hammers for Rangers, Shields for NEcros etc.)
- New pet types for Rangers like we got in GW1 when a new campaign came out
- Upgraded guild functionality including the Message of the Day being displayed when game is launched in chat window
- New Guild Missions including new types, and new versions of existing types of bounties, puzzles etc.
- New PvP tracks
- Black Lion Chest Loot tables re-examined. The current cost of 60g for 5 keys when the loot contained within and also the monetary cost for gems when what is in them in is currently not worth it in my opinion. Real money for a gold item that increases my Magic Find in the most marginal way when all the new content circumvents Magic Find in the form of bag drops is terrible.

Precursor crafting
New legendary weapons
Legendary armor
Build Templating
Attribute allocation
Expanded weapon options (ex: ax for mesmer, staff for ranger, etc)
New armor skins (whole sets) via in game play
Earnable secondary skill sets for weapons
More skill options in general
Ascended armor available (reliably) via means other than crafting
“Armory” – someplace to stick additional armor and weapon sets so as to not clog inventory space. Can be character specific, but would be nifty if they made it account wide (for ease of swap-ability, but realistically, never gonna happen. A girl can dream though)
Some decent freaking heels for my mesmer! She’d like a pair of shoes that don’t look like clogs or clown shoes.
Build Templating
Precursor Crafting
More Skills
Ascended Armor without crafting
More Weapons per class (I won’t rest until my Guardian can dual wield Shields!)
New dungeon paths
Option to buy Potions from Dungeon Vendors in bulk
I like the idea of being able to re-do my story. Hardmode would be cool.
I like the idea of being able to re-do my story. Hardmode would be cool.
- precursor crafting (and please don’t make a pre-precursor that is just as much of a pain in the butt to find as the precursors are at the moment)
- legendary armor
- more legendary weapons (new skin for each current weapon type)
- more weapon types (whips please!)
- housing where other players can view/enter into your house when you are not there. Buildable upgrades like crafting tables, vendors, nodes. Buffs and benefits from players visiting your house and you visiting the homes of other players. Interact-able furniture like chairs, tables, sofas, and beds. The ability to obtain furniture and different housing upgrades in-game and not have them be exclusive to the gemstore. I don’t mind using the gemstore to buy additional land for my house but I will mind if it is the only way to get a table.
- new dungeons, each with a full set of distinct armor/weapon skins
- new exploreable zones
- new jumping puzzles
- Make ‘outfits’ save their dye colors when you swap to a new outfit
- make outfits mixable with your armor helm
- first person perspective
- hide the screenshot save location notification from the chat tab so that it is easier to screenshot conversations
- build templates
- armor templates
- a window on the hero ui showing all mini pets so that I can summon the ‘active’ pet whenever I want, the same way I can choose an ‘active’ finisher. That way they will be available to all characters at all times. I should be able to make my ‘active’ pet different on each character.
- Make it so I don’t have to remember what my ranger’s pet names were – please make ranger pet names saveable and pet-specific
- an rp checkbox on the esc menu so I can be filtered into a megaserver with other rpers as the priority above anything else (sans party members).
- More dresses
- GW1 outfits added to GW2 – that dwayna dress is incredible!
-Armor Type Filter at Trade Post: Heavy/Medium/Light
- PERMANENT SAB =D
-Jewelry that we can see – I’d love for my rings to glow on my character’s fingers in different colors, or maybe some sort of legendary ring with small effects. Preferably with a toggle option like backpacks
- …. I’ll add more as I remember others…

- Splitting the Trait System up into Traits, Abilities and TALENTS for more improved
Character Customization as like also Progression, regarding Skill Skin Changes.
You want to turn your red fireballs into blue fireballs? Actiavte the Ability of “Spiritual Fire” and your fireballs will become ghostly fireballs in a nice shining blue tone…
Thats everything up my mind for now.
Megaserver improvements:
- Reconnect function (Similar to one in GW1), which reserves a spot for the player and allows you to reconnect back to same map copy, if you were disconnected.
- Map copy listing window (Similar to GW1 “District selection”), which would allow us try connect to more desired map copy. Possibly also allow us to create new map copy, should there be enough players to add “request queue”.
- Reintroduce Queue back to PvE, so that we don’t need to repeat “Join In *” with party, if the map copy we try to join is full.
Other stuff:
- Scythes, more like a magical two-handed melee weapon. Necromancers atleast being one to wield it, dunno what other class would fit to use it.
- Polearms, adapted from underwater Spear weapons, many existing skins are close to Halberd design (axe and spearhead pattern). Not a AoE burst weapon, which is GS’ job. Spears offer more reach, dunno what else they would give. Warriors would be obvious melee fighters to wield polearms. Guardian would instead use them as throwing spears… (Perhaps rangers would either throw or use in melee)
- small update to underwater combat, turns some weapons into amphibious types, Daggers being one good underwater weapon, dunno what else of the existing and possible new weapons could also be added…
- Update existing content to offer more variety, like the new content does. Group content would be affected more by the variety, but Solo play wouldn’t trigger variety spawns. This would increase the use of Support, CC and condition builds, if the mobs are not all just vulnerable to direct damage and critical hits.
- Traits unlock lvl reduced back to lvl 10, no other changes, since the current points reduced to 14 is ok.
- Physical or Racial finishers, that depend on weapon or race, instead of just having stuff fall from sky to kill your foe.
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.
(edited by FrostSpectre.4198)
I want the old trait system back, but with the free refunds of the new one.
Update WvW.
Revamp commander system/squads
Ability to see squad members hp bars
Nerf bannering of keep lords
Review condition duration food
Revamp server rating system
[vT] Violent Tendencies
- Traits unlock lvl reduced back to lvl 10, no other changes, since the current points reduced to 14 is ok.
But the unlock requirements still require you to go to like level 40 or 50 areas for an adept trait…

Well, I didn’t think about it much, but then after reading your reply, I think it’d be better, since we actually have points to spent when we do unlock the traits…

For wvw, yes, this too:
- Revamp commander system/squads
- Ability to see squad members hp bars
- Nerf bannering of keep lords
- Revamp server rating system
And of course, give WvW some update attention (EDIT: not by adding living story bs like you did with the toxic flowers in EB)
this one:
housing
guild halls
day and night like in real world
new maps
book with stories to read like in skyrim
(edited by Interd.9207)
i want a chat window that REMEMBERS what setting i left each tab on, when i log in and click on the guild tab i dont want it to default to /say
and i want a button in the wardrobe that will preview a full set of armor , so like if i click on the armageddon helm i can “preveiw full set” at once that woudl be nice isntead of having to click my way through the entire list

If you dig the 14 point trait system vs. the 70 point one, wouldn’t it make more sense to do away with the whole unlocking stuff and change the tiers back to the old system, but then give 1 trait point every 5 levels starting at level 15? Seems kind of silly to make people wait until level 30 just to start getting adept traits.
I would like more areas to explore and weapons (crossbows/hand crossbows should be easy) and underwater weapons also. Why can’t you equip a dagger/knife underwater? Double daggers/knifes or a dagger/knife with a net would be a good start. Add vendors to “home” like the old Guild Halls.
I would also like to be able to play the other story lines or be able to replay them and go with one of the other choices.
Guild Halls
Housing
New weapons
New Skills obtained by new quest (however they want to define quest is fine)
New ways to explore lore.
-books
-quest
-new npc dialog to match living world
-etc
Reality : Some interface upgrades, and 0 new content.
New sPvP modes
New sPvP maps
New WvW maps
Finish the megaserver implementation (removing guild chapters, add moving between them with less effort)
Build templates
New weapon:class combos
New utility skills
New traits
Really, the two main pvp avenues really need refreshers; something to really change up the dynamics and make people excited to come back. A map pack and new game modes are a big part of that. Adding new skillsets which open up new ways to play revitalise the game as a whole.
- New Racial features; Horns for charr, Tattos for norn, etc….
- Make Ranger’s pets remember thair names – or simply remove the naming thing alltogether! I have prolly renamed my pets thousednds of times by now – don’t wanna have to do it all the time!!!
- Tengu being playable
-Make all minis tradeable.
Thought of this today after reading up on a topic about the Mini Llama being too exclusive. It would give PvPers who don’t care about it a nice chunk of gold, I’m assuming it’s price would be valued pretty high. It would also create a market for some of the older minis that are now unavailable.
