Just wanted to make sure I understand…future legendaries will only come through masteries, right? So, at the very minimum HoT is needed?

If so, it seems that the precursor hunt is not a choice, rather a requirement (if you don’t want a legendary from the first set).

I am trying to decide whether to hold off and see what all of the new ones are going to look like…but if they require HoT then I might as well just start on one from the first set now. As even if I did buy HoT, the timesink seems even more ridiculous then usual in order to fully craft one.

right but why not get a head start on HOT now instead of waiting to see and when u decided u want the new one u still have to grind 6 months to catch up.

IIRC, the blog post said even the pre’s could be found nowhere else but the mastery track.

Which is what annoys me…I mean the MF is bad, and drops are just not happening, but those methods at least give you a choice.
