Sorry if this has already been discussed but I did not see it. But once this living story is over will Lion’s Arch ever be repaired? Or will we move from the Vigil Keep to some other location? I don’t have a problem with the Vigil Keep but it isn’t really on the same scale as Lion’s Arch.

I hope it gets repaired in some fashion. Lion’s Arch is the central hub of a server. LA is where you go between adventures. LA is where you go to chat and meet your fellow server players. LA is where you go to show off whatever accomplishment or fancy outfit you’ve acquired. Vigil Keep just isn’t the same.

Yeah as you said it is a central hub and IS being rebuilt. Dunno if layout will remain same though. In good news the pro show off gear in tightly crowed airship. SO go there if you’d like. Or is this the push for us to start using trinity as a new hub? haha jk no one goes to that kittenhole.

Maybe they disliked the city and decided they needed a story so they could revamp it.

I think the reason I like Lion’s Arch so much is because I played GW1 for so long that when I’m in the city now it reminds me of the first game. Nowhere else really does that for me other than small parts of Ascalon (the wall).

And of course masses of T3 wood .. i would already love that event if it brings T3 wood again back to 2s

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

LA will be rebuilt with access to guild halls, GvG arenas, and personal housing.

Is that your opinion or you have some reason for believing this? I am curious because usually you can find some rumors that end up having truth but I am not really finding anything about the future for LA.

A lot more of it will be underwater and it will become the capital of the Quaggan world. The skritt have taken the time to unblock the sewers the Lionguard stopped up and they will have a landside kingdom to match the Quaggies aquatic one.

Nobody will notice this and Ellen will rebuild LA in her own image with Evon’s money.

I sure hope they took under consideration everything was burned to a crisp, and the city will never look the same again. Who knows they may even change the style no ship wrecks at all.

It will keep destroyed, nature and wild life will take over and will end becoming the lvl 1~15 map of the Tengus.

LA will be rebuilt with access to guild halls, GvG arenas, and personal housing.

This may be even better

I am sure they will rebuild it to some extent, although I cannot imagine what it will look like with out the ship wrecks. I am actually looking forward to what the new LA or whatever it will be called is going to look like!

That’s my bet is the 1-15 zone for tengu. It took them months to fix the statue it would take a thousand years at that pace to fix the entire city.

It would be nice IF they rebuild it to use it as a huge player experience to rebuild it using crafting. EQ2 had some “world” events that required the community to help build griffon towers for new flight paths. The events were per server, so if your server didn’t participate, you didn’t have those flight paths. That experience still sticks with me today… at the end of the event, if you participated, you received a small statue of a replica tower to place in your house!

They could add new crafting recipes for building items, for example woodworking items to huntsman/artificer, blacksmith/metal items for armor/weaponsmith, furniture/accessories for leatherworkers or tailors. They could even introduce new tradeskills, if Anet felt so brave to take it on – Architect to make blueprints, Carpenters, Masons.

It could also be a great way to introduce Player Housing/Guild Halls into the game as instances off of the main “hub” city of the game… one can hope, right?!?!
