Here are a couple ideas for new gliders, and modifications to existing ones:
I would like the Glittering Wings Backpack to be made into a glider that flaps like a dragonfly.
I would like my Golden Feather Wings to look more golden, and less “metallic mud”.
I would like White and Black wings that look nice. (Face it… the originals look pretty ratty, unrealistic, and they move weird). The Hawk Wings, Golden Feather Wings, Wings of Love, and the Gay Pride Wings are a good template. Maybe call ’em Raven Wings and Snow Owl Wings.
I would like all bird/bat/dragon wings to FOLD properly when not flying. Not stick out to the side. It would help at least a little bit at banks. (Perhaps an occasional animation as if stretching them).
I want a Sopwith Camel and a Fokker Triplane (Red Baron) set of wings. (See picture below. Just develop a clever way to use the wings, not the whole plane). The Gem Store would certainly sell more Aviator Caps!
I was going to mention making the Butterfly Wings dyeable, but it looks like that’s pretty much what the upcoming Moth Wings are going to be.
I want a nicerBubble Glider. Smaller. Less cloudy-looking (no bubbles inside the bubble – more like a nice, clean soap bubble. Clearer so you can see where you’re going.)
I want a volume control slider for all backpacks & gliders, as well as OPTIONS: (Hear all sounds / hear only my sounds). My Wings of Love noises are driving me insane. And every time I hear a Job-O-Tron backpack anymore, I want to reach through my screen and strangle someone.
And now for something completely different: I want a “glider” that looks as if I’m being carried by a pair of swallows. (African, of course. Not European.) Perhaps they could grip me by the husk. Or carry me on a line made from a strand of tree bark.
I’m sure there are lots of Necros who would like to see Bone Wing gliders. Or Ghostly Wing gliders.
My Asura could certainly use a giant Paper Plane glider.
Scratch that last one. My Asura would rather have a set of downward-firing rockets. (But only if we get that volume control!)
My Asura is sooooo undecided! Now he thinks a flying squirrel suit would be just the thing to have.
I would like to see (as requested by others) the Broomstick and the Flying Carpet to be equippable as gliders.
I’m sure Flaming Wings and Shadow Wings and Lightning Wings are all on the drawing board someplace. (Concerns about visibility arise again with some of these. Both at banks and bosses.)
Where are the Red Cape gliders with the “S” on them? The Black Cape gliders with the “bat” logo?

There are a few perfectly harmless words/phrases that I have censored all the time, and I have to figure out a different way to say it. It makes communication difficult at times.

You missed it, add “who” infront of "re"strains and remove the space.
Flying carpet and broom should become gliders. They would be more usable. I would also like to see a superhero style cape. Yet another think I would like to see added to gliding in general is ground effect gliding when your auto-running.
If they want to push more sales of HoT they should also setup glide points in various cities to allow players to test gliding. On the top of the light house and off the center of the top tier in Hoelbrak. They could put an NPC at the launch points that activate it for the player for each glide. The NPC could explain they need to go to the HoT to train on the skill to use it unsupervised. Off the light house they could use a Asura simulated ley line to the shore on the other side.

Hmm… interesting idea, Tek. Maybe the Asura can set up a special “training” zone in the Super Adventure Box so that anyone can glide around and get a feel for it. (Not play the game, although I know people will want to. Just a gliding arena. It would be easier than having to climb back to the top of various spots in the cities every time you landed.) That’s what the SAB was originally supposed to be for if I remember correctly; to train Asuran children in safety before letting them loose in the world.

Maybe “Glider Rental” NPCs around the world near Waypoints that let people snag a basic glider for a small fee? It would disappear upon zoning or dying. (If the person had my luck, they’d rent a glider and then get a “Zone is closing” message within a minute. You should be able to KEEP a rented glider if you “volunteer” to transfer to a more populated zone.)

How about gliders for those organizations like the Priory or Whispers? I’m surprised we haven’t seen any of those yet.
Well…
The Order of Whispers uses a stealth glider. So you won’t ever see that one as long as their enchantments hold up. (I think Wonder Woman is in the Order of Whispers).
