If this was in response to a support ticket and how the GM was helpful and resolved an issue, it may be best to include such praising comments for this specific GM via the ‘Rate Your Support’ email you should receive shortly after your ticket is closed. You can rate your support experience and update the comment section of the rating page to include such praise and thanks so their bosses become directly aware of how pleased you were with their assistance.

If this was, indeed, support related, I’m glad you had such a good experience. Account Issue Support at GW2 really is the best I’ve ever experienced by a game company. Some issues I’ve had did not have my desired outcome, but the support I received in my attempt to resolve the issues was excellent.

I think you misunderstood the rule :P

“Do not engage in staff call-outs. Using the words “ArenaNet” or any staff member’s name will not expedite the answer to your query.”

A “call-out” is a negative term on the whole. It’s either used in the context to try and get an employee to do something, or to attack an employee.

Thanking them and saying nice things… I’m sure is appreciated

Also, if you think a thread should be closed, try reporting it rather than commenting on it. In a funny way, what you’re doing is actually what you have a problem with (calling out staff to get some action taken).

It was support related but I haven’t received a “rate your experience” email yet.

I sent my request and promptly got an email back apologizing for any delay, saying they are receiving a large volume of tickets. It was only 2 hours 15 minutes later when I received an email telling me that not only had my issue been resolved but that GM MagicPotato had gone, what I consider, above and beyond for me.

That was the reason for this thread. To let him/her know just how much thier hard work on a weekend is appreciated.
