Hey! Its insane right now, its non stop spam from a ton of accounts. can you get a GM in to start booting people or something? PLEASE!

Yeah its out of control on my server as well. Its just non stop spam, no one can even use the chat because of it.

I usually just see it on overflow servers, not on my server itself.

Click on their name and press Block,and while youre at it report them for spamming.

It’s interesting that yesterday there was this person apparently running this gold sale spam bot there, probably on a hacked account. They spammed the website and a bunch of smilies such as “^^ q^_^p” along with “so ez!” (whatever that means). A couple minutes later another character from a different account (you can see acc display name when reporting) showed up and began spamming the exact same lines. The map chat literally became a gold spamfest. It seems to be the same entity running a bot on multiple hacked accounts.

I played yesterday and the chat on BLACKTIDE server was spammed by 2 players constantly posting crap about selling gold, i reported them and blocked them.

It don’t seem to stop mail spam though. I play for 30 minutes and look at my mail box.

Dear Arenanet,

could it be the Gold seller collected the usernames from this forum? I know it is probably not easy to change, but it would be a good idea if you could not see the numbers behind names in the forum as also ingame except you tell it the proper person or both have each other on friend list.

I personally haven’t seen any gold sellers in chat past the first few days. However, I get a least 2 mails per day asking me to buy gold. I don’t know how to report through the mail system though.
