Guild Wars 2

GW website has a points calculator which I have used to track my progress toward GW2 rewards as I worked to acquire more GW titles before I made the switch to GW2.Last week I finally switched from GW to GW2 and was speechless to find that the 43 points I had earned in my Hall of Monument did not give me any of the rewards that the calculator said I would get. https://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=welcome

The two support tickets I put in said they are not available and to post here as “the fact that (development) team members can review those suggestions in a public forum helps them gauge the level of interest in a particular idea, and also allows other players to discuss and offer feedback of their own.”

It is totally misleading.

I am sure you’re probably pretty busy right now with your next release, which btw I have pre-purchased. Can I suggest taking down the rewards calculator off the internet? Or better yet give us bask our well earned rewards?

I clocked a lot of hours to boost my reward level and I am SO enjoying GW2. I sure hope people will post a response to this so that it gets your notice.

HoM rewards are in the game. I use them frequently. So, I think there was some sort of misunderstanding on either your part or on the part of Support. I’d contact them again (if one of your tickets is still open, just update that ticket). And I’d make sure you have your GW1 account connected to your GW2 account.

Try this. Be logged out of gw2. Log into gw1. Go to The hall of monuments and speak to Kimmes. When you speak to him, have him switch the settings between account and character. Log out. Then log into Guild Wars 2 and see if you you have your rewards. You might need to speak to Kimmes in Guild Wars 2

Edit: As stated elsewhere. Be sure that the two accounts are linked
Sign in to your Guild Wars 2 account at https://account.guildwars2.com.
Click Link Accounts on the left-hand side.
Enter your original Guild Wars account name and password exactly as you would if you were logging in.
Click the Link Account button.
Click OK.
Be aware that once you link your Guild Wars account to Guild Wars 2, it cannot be unlinked.

Make sure you linked your GW1 account to GW2. I’m pretty sure they didn’t remove the ability to get HoM rewards out of nowhere.

I thought they did remove HoM because of hackers. I thought (for months now) that none of us can get in there, or is that just on the GW1 side?

This was restored in a fairly recent patch here in GW2. I have been back to the HoM and have retrieved my new rewards that I had earned since it was shut down.

just now , i went to try my hall of monuments and double check it .

i have no problems using my Hall of Monuments Portal Stone .

when i was there i was able to talk with Kimmes the Historian and choose any of the items i have unlocked for use .

all seems normal to me .

It wasn’t hackers but a bug on Guild Wars 2 side that gave titles and achieve points to people who created a new character on that day. The bug was fixed a while back.
