GW's April Fools of the past
In terms of effort, the pixel one probably. I was seriously fooled on the commando one though lol.

The in-game stuff was nice enough, but my favorites were always the fake patch notes. Wish they’d return!
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on an equal power base.”
Pre-launch, Colin listed things that make MMOs bad. They are all now in GW2.
I personally liked the gender swap one the most. I was almost tempted to get a Total Makeover Kit for some of my chars. Almost. XD
I really loved April Fool’s in GW, especially the patch notes. Sadly, I lost a lot of my screens in a HD crash, but here’s some from the Commando one.
Gender swap was easily the funniest. Everyone logged into every character on their account, I think! Exchanging sizes with your mini pet was kind of neat too. My first experience being Asura-sized! The stick figures were boring, becoming a Gwen Doll was interesting.
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.

I liked the one where minipets where adult size and our characters shrunk into minipet size.
By far my favourite.
WTB mini me pls.
My fav was when they turned minipets to lifesize!
edit didnt see the post above me xD

They did nothing April Fools related last year. I’m guessing the same will happen this year.
Wasn’t April Fool’s last year SUPPOSED to be SAB? It kinda gained a life of its own after the fact.

Yeah it did, but to be fair: Jumping puzzles are a cruel joke sometimes :B

Lol that’s pretty fun. Now you have to read the press release about it.

There should be small to medium commando content released in a fashion similar to super adventure box. New flavors of the month. There’s sorta your mini games there.

The best part of this year’s by far is the NPCs and ambients. Have you guys seen an Eagle today? They look awesome.
Corporal Bane is very funny. Going Back into time to presearing with a commando or a gollem to kill a metamorf gollem with charr technology inside it.
(just logged in to gw 1 for old time sake, this is the one active this year).

I remember logging in during the stick figure one. At first I was wondering if the graphics had messed up somehow~ Good times.
I liked Corporal Bane! He led to some amusing time-travel ideas
This is definitely the worst April Fools’ Day so far.
My first April Fools when Anet switched the genders, laughed my kitten off and showed my whole family. Anet fooled me hard.
50/50 GWAMM x3
I quit how I want
for me it’s a tie between the stick figures and the chibi gwens

The AF patch notes were always a hoot… Some of my individual favorites include:
Blackout: now a ranged skill; doesn’t blackout the caster.
Spirit Bond: removed restriction on the maximum number of hits.
The Great Betrayer Shiro Tagachi now joins your party as the third Assassin hero. He’s been killed twice already, but he got better!
Avatar of Kormir: “Elite Form. Your are permanently Blinded. Any time one of your allies finishes a quest, you get credit for completing it instead. Whenever a Dervish enchantment ends on you, you steal all enchantments, shouts, and weapon spells from all party members.”
Shadow Form: added the following functionality: “Deletes all characters on your account when Shadow Form ends.”
Thunderclap: changed skill type to shout. Renamed to “Thunder, Thunder, Thunderclap! HOOOOOOOO!”
I could keep going… and that’s just from a couple of years…
The stick figure was kind of annoying, but I love love loved the gender swap and the mini/normal swap.
The one I disliked the most was the fake quests with the Annihilator series.
and all the prank patch notes were a blast!
Yeah, fake patch notes were definitely the best.
I enjoyed the GW1 where players were turned into mini’s and the mini’s were player sized XD
