I’ve seen people writing on map chat that they want to trade GW1 Platinums for GW2 gold. I’d glad to do so, but i don’t want to get scammed, and also i’m not sure if it is legit to trade GW2 currency for non-GW2 currency, even if that is GW1. Is it?

I still have some awesome GW1 titles waiting for unlock, but i’d rather play in GW2 to get the necessary gold, then transfer it to GW1, if arenanet supported this by adding a safe way to do this.

It is not legit, and you can get easily scammed.
Officially there is no such thing.

Pretty sure that’s against the Terms of Service.

It’d make for some interesting cross-game support, but I doubt they’ll do it.

That would really be a do at your own risk sort of thing and you would get no love from support if it fell thru.

it’s easy to get gold in GW1 but a horror show in GW2 unless you love to farm, if this was ever gonna be added officially the rate would be quite in a low benefit.
let’s face it, getting 5K is a walk in a park in GW1, getting 5 gold for a casual player is just terrifyingly hard.

If you have that much trouble getting pocket change as a casual player, then you’re setting your goals too high.

Funny thing is, if they DID put something like this in-game, they very well might see an increase in gems to gold in GW1. It would make them money no matter how you cut it because there are always people will to pay real world money for in-game stuff.

Getting 5g isn’t hard. The tricky part if finding something that you actually enjoy doing that will also get you those 5g.

My friend admitted to doing this. He was paranoid he would get scammed so he did about 100 small trades XD so if he did get scammed he wouldn’t lose much at all.

The rating I know is 1g = 2p
But it is against the Terms of Service.
