What kinds of things from gw1 do you fondly remember about Nightfall/Elona? For me it’s Koss’ hair, I always figured he had a third fist hidden in it. Also, the opening music by Jeremy Soule.

As for Elona,, I didn’t like it that much. I prefer prophecies & factions. If i had too choose 1 thing… euhmm. Suneh Stormbringer, i killed that guy way too much.

some of the armors, like vabbi and profane necro armors.
the story is also quite interesting (unlike GW2), the thread of the world being destroyed really feels real with a god behind the works.

I remember ( and still regularly see in GW1 ) the lovely buildings, people and clothing. Elona is a beautiful land.

The Seborhin Tree is just, well, highly impressive. That’s one of the images etched into my GW1 memories.

And yes, the music.

Oh and being a Sunspear. Somehow that’s far more compelling than say.. Legionnaire or Seraph.

Tasca’s Demise by Jeremy Soule gives me the feels everytime I hear it, just for the nostalgia. Remembering being half cut and camping the Granite Citadel between farming runs or just going there to sort my bank/inventory for the music and the lack of people running everywhere.

Farming Undead Hordes in Beetletun or soloing FoW with a Ranger, Solo trapping UW or spirit spamming.

I really liked being able to research a mob, find it’s weakness and then formulate a build around that, in order to farm it effectively.

Spamadan

Farming Sapphires and Rubies from UW and selling for an insane profit at the beginning of Nightfall release and watching tons of people getting scammed by spammers of “Sapphire’s” when it was “Ice” and “Rubies” when it was “Lilac eyes” they were selling. Couple of my guild members from back then got scammed…

I remember having to go around in wurms in the crystal desert. We had a guild member that we tricked into running out there a couple times and he would instantly die.

Dervishes and Razah, The Kodash Bazaar, and The Sunspear Sanctuary, seeing my Sabway/Spritway team running along with me…just to name a few.

I know many prefer Prophesies or Cantha…but I just somehow got attached to Elona/Vabbi…it felt like home…until EotN…I’m a Norn at heart.

I still play it

Nightfall’s story was great and easily stood out from the rest of the campaigns.

Jeremy Soule’s music work was outstanding.

I loved the costumes of Nightfall, from the peasant-wear to the Vabbian nobles. All impeccably done.
