Is there any GW2 app for iOS or android that tracks the guild activities, character profile and such? Would be very useful when I am outside and I want to check on my guild.

They mentioned something like that 2 and a half years prior to launch with the GW2 Extended Experience. I’d like to see it implemented.

Here’s what people thought of GW1 when it first came out: http://tinyurl.com/bntcvyc

Yeah, and no news ever since… Anet is doing a great job at keeping the community up-to-date with whatever they’re working on … As far as I know, they’re just raking in the money and chilling out ’pon da beach or something…

I dare you to repeat that in about 12 hours from now, after the patch hits?

In business there’s this thing called “priorities”. Making silly apps is not one of them at the moment and rightfully so.

What apps are there so far that are usefull?

I use the GW2 field guide to quick check important things on an area or to find some missing POI for area completion.
Also good to check foods to use at each lvl…

I tried some cooking guides and such things but didnt like it.

Some good apps would be:
WvW scores
sPvP watchmode (how nice would be to watch some old or live spvp matchs)
Guild management (check how is guild research, change MotD, etc)
Black Lion App (Check market trends, your listings, etc, maybe eve sell from your bank!)

They’re hiring…

If you dream about creating groundbreaking game extension experiences such as the recently announced iPad/iPhone map viewer for GW2, then read on.

So, I’d say it’s very much in the pipeline (and I hope they realize only in the US there is a majority that uses Ios, and that in Europe, the majority uses Android…)

I do you one better, I’ll repeat it now, well into the new patch.

Making ‘silly apps’ was part of the original plan to extend the game experience past the computer, so far, the game experience has been dying out on us with more and more generic and repeated content.

Take these new dailies per example. They’re just as generic and boring as the other ones were, except that now you actually have to focus on doing the dailies, instead of just playing the game.
They’re messing things up more and more with every new patch and people all around me are complaining more and more about how Anet keeps letting us down with what they call ‘an expansion worth update’… Expansions like this don’t deserve a penny. “Add an NPC here, add a campfire here and a sign here. Look guys, we’ve made an expansion!” My 3 year old nephews make bigger ‘expansions’ a bunch of times a day, and this is all Anet can come up with after a month?
