So this Friday is Black Friday.

Is there any confirmation of what is going to happen black Friday in GW2?

A friend of mine told me he heard rumors of 60% off everything in the gem store. Seems too good to be true but we will see!

Well last year there were items 75% off

This is horrible news for someone whose payday is on Monday. But I hope the rest of you get what tou want for a good price.

So short, that you really can’t afford a couple of dollars/euros before your payday? I feel sorry for you… but it should last longer than this weekend, so you still can get your stuff.

I really hope they deduct some of the following stuff:
- keys
- crafting license
- minis
- finishers
- bank tab/bank expansion (yeah I know they were on sale 2 days ago)

Character slot expansions are on sale right now for another 22 hours. They’re not likely to get cheaper than they are now.

Bank expansions were on sale two days ago?? Must have been a very short sale, I check every day (or try to) and it’s been character slots and upgrade extractors for what feels like ages.

Resource expansion was on sale not bank tabs.

Ooh right, not interested in that so I forgot. I’m hoping bank tabs and armor skins will go on sale. And the return of the mini hippo and white kitten.

Oh yeah bank tabs and character slots would be fantastic. Desperately in need of some extra ones.

Edit: On a side note, I would love to be able to check the gem store, possibly even make purchases, from outside the game… Though I have no idea if this would even be possible. Would just be great if you could have a look in the store when you’re bored at work or something. Just my 2c.

Well, this is one time I’m not going to offer advice, for fear of being wrong. I guess it depends on how bad you want the slots, though.

I’m not sure how much cash we’re talking about, or what you’re financial situation is…only you can make that choice.

OT, I hope outfits go on sale – there are several I’ve been wanting but have had to defer getting because I’ve been using my gem stock for items I need more (like bank tabs).

FYI it’s a good idea to check the gem store every couple of days (when you can get online anyway) if you’re hoping to catch a particular item on sale. Because they do sales every so often that aren’t always directly tied to real world events.

For examples they’ve had sales on various things, including collection expanders and character slots, for the past week or so. And some returning items like the Frostbite and Chicknado minis. I’m not sure if it’s because of Black Friday or just because they haven’t released many new items and need something to put on the promotions tab.

(I’ve been checking because I’m also hoping bank tabs go on sale. Otherwise it might be like last year when I decided I wanted a 2nd one in August and had to wait until January to get it!)

What if, the Black Friday sale IS the 50% off the box?

I check the gem store every day, just in case there is a sale. Always a good plan to do so, because there are usually sales on something. Sometimes they even give free stuff (I remember sometime this year they gave a free booster one day, then free repair kit, etc). I don’t like missing out on that kind of thing
