Guild Wars 2

Today my friends and me we did our first guild mission: the bounty.
We organized very well and complete the event killing all the wanted mobs.
Too bad my friends are on Aurora Glade whilst I am on Gandara, and i didn’t get any reward from this event.

I am now forced to search for another guild on Gandara since i cannot afford for pay 1800 gems to change server and i’m not gonna waste any precious laurel on the earrings.

This guild system that u earn influence and u get reward from guild mission only if you are on the same server of the guild just don’t works and devide people.

I’m disappointed.

to who said we should have choosen the same server i’ll answer that i met these friends during a fractal and after the update in wich changing server became so expensive.
to who said i should change game or my guildmates should collect money to let me make transfer i’m gonna say i like my server and i don’t want to change it, and my friends should not be forced to collect money for this since in the Anet manifesto was extremely clear that guild wars 2 is a community game in wich everyone should always be able to play with their friends.
Im my opinion they should just change this restriction in wich i cannot earn influence for my guild since i’m on another server, is just nonsense. one guild should be cross server as it was in gw1.

Also there isn’t a monthly fee so in my opinion spending the money for the one time move is justifiable. You can always set some money aside each week if you’re tight on cash.

ANet isn’t forcing you to do anything, at this point it’s your own decision. As with anything, if you want something, you work to earn it.

If you can’t “afford” to play with your friends, the main reason people play this game and the main reason you seem to wan to play, you shouldn’t be playing at all.

if they are a good guild, they should already be doing this for you.

if you treat them like you post on the forums, I’m not surprised you feel like you have no options.

This is why you coordinate which server you and your friends want to play on, BEFORE you create and play a character.

This isn’t EVE, where everyone is playing on the same server. It wouldn’t make sense anyways for everyone to be able to independently farm guild missions, since (IMO) guild missions are DESIGNED to be played with YOUR GUILD, from the SAME server. Doing otherwise would be (again IMO) overpowering and simplifying the guild missions.

Time is money. You can either re-roll a character on your friends’ server, or you can pay money to transfer your character to their server. Either way…you should have figured out which server your friends were on BEFORE you created a toon.

So you can’t be in the same guild but on a different server, guesting on the server your guild is on and receive the guild commendations? If so that completely sucks.

They have said that this is NOT intended behavior for the missions and they will work to get it fixed.
