Guild Wars 2

In several GW2 Dev interviews there has been a lot of talk about 2014 and new content to come. What do you think is in store for us in 2014? Or rather what change or addition to the game would you want in 2014?

“We have a couple of really big Guild Wars projects cooking in the background.”

“We’re going to take a break for a little bit and then we’re going to do one really big feature patch … .”

“We’re making an additional WVW map so if the queues are big you can play in this map as well. It infinitely copies itself.”

“When [Living World Season One] ends [on 4th March 2014], we’re going to take a break for a little bit and then we’re going to do one really big feature patch that is more akin to what people see from some of our [MMO] competitors,” said Johanson, “where they bundle a lot of features together into a really big patch every now and then.”

I thought they said they were going to do a January Blog post about what to expect this year, but so far we haven’t heard anything concrete yet.

Living world will play out then its a big Features Update etc

Yeah, you’re probably right. Didn’t think about the development cycle and how long it’ll actually take to get over the Scarlet Slump.

I believe they said we wouldn’t get the six month blog post until after the Scarlet story. They’re being very secretive (more than usual).

What’s in store? More disappointment … count on it.

We don’t know. We know that we get there might be a season 2 this year but we don’t know for sure, also there is a big feature patch coming early summer but again we don’t know what it does contain. You have to be very patient this year, I think.
