Couple things:
– You can play TERA if you want to, it’s free!
– GW2’s aesthetics are just fine the way they are IMO. While there are some “sexy” character armors in this game, TERA is so over the top it makes my eyes hurt. IMO.

Yeah, I can’t say I’m particularly interested in furry happy fun-time 24/7 365 sexy mixed with 4 year old Elin sex-appeal.

I have to deal with happy fun-time 25/7 365 sexy sex-appeal with myself, I have enough. GW2 is fine. It’s okay to button your shirt sometimes.

Gotta say, not really digging the fact that almost that entire thread was sameface elves/“demons” (conventionally attractive humans with horns). I would really prefer GW2 not move in this direction, as there are enough games out there that cater to this sort of thing already.

Generic korean art style vs GW2.

GW2 wins. Its the first game in a long time to have its own art style besides “Everybody is a supermodel!”

Its fine the way it is.

Are we using the word ‘aesthetics’ to replace ‘female chests’? That’s mostly what I saw….

I have to say I prefer Guild Wars 2’s art.

Ew… Well, I checked a few pages and the only thing I liked in that forum was this sentence: “I recently race changed” : P

The one thing that most people complement about this game, almost universally, is the art style. Whatever problems most people have, the art style isn’t usually one of them.

The same can’t really be said for most other MMOs, including Tera.

I downloaded Tera just to have a look at it and it’s generic and not even particularly good.

Be interesting to see how Blade and Soul does if it comes West.

Yikes. There’s quite a few good design ideas in Tera but almost all of them are taken to ridiculous extremes. They could work here but they’d need to tone down the ‘sexy’ factor by at least a half. We don’t come to Tyria for that, kitten. GW2 has some amazing aesthetics that simply aren’t used often enough. There’s still some sweet cultural outfits that only NPCs get, for example.

One thing Tera does get right is that characters don’t go bald when they put a hat on.

All these people talking down on TERA…

Whatever, I think TERA looks great! And that game looking great takes nothing away from GW2. I am playing this game and not that one currently, after all.

My question:

what is it you want?

more barbies?
more babies?
more boobies?
more skimpies?

My opinion:

I think Gw has enough as is and it’s okay as is.

I would have liked some alternates outside…

Also having a thread and seeing -few male chars whatsoever,- only sexied up women and girls seems a strange world, and some of those women and even the girls would be taken into custody or reported to child wellness for indecent exposure -in many countries-….

Even most babies figures, those “Elin” seem to look like little kitten / sex objects to me, which should trigger some moral grounds for disapproval… a creative game is good, but this goes a whole leap in a wrong direction…

Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

Personally i liked the character editor from AION much more than the one from Tera.

Having more options in the character editor, like in AION or ArcheAge however is
something i really would like to have.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

While I agree with others in that GW2 should stick to its own style, I also would like to see some more skimpy options (within the GW2 style). Maybe some of the skimpier GW1 armours as remakes (elite Kurzick warrior armour springs to mind, or the imperial assassin armour. I also preferred the GW1 elite gladiator armour to the GW2 version).

That is not to suggest we should ONLY get more skimpy armour. I would also like to see some more ‘covered’ armour (or outfit) options added. It is all about having choice to increase character customization options at the end of the day. The more choice we have the more players that will be happy. But again, it needs to stay within the GW2 style. Tera has its own asian style, which I do not think that would fit GW2.

Simplicity is complex.

Good feedback is key to getting the developers to listen to you.

I’ll stick with Gw2 thank you. The 4 year old looking characters with decidedly sexual undertones (If you call em that) was a little much for me. Not to mention they have one of the worst character creation set ups ever (You can’t even choose eye color.)

By, “cool stuff,” are you referencing more cleavage or the addition of scantily clad prepubescent little girls?

Sorry, gotta disagree with either. The boobage is strong enough in game and sexualization of children is wrong.
