GW2 become a game about grind
they hate being reminded about this trailer,
as laughable as it is,
this thread will vanish promptly,
just like every other thread that links it does…

gw1 isn’t mmo…. lol. its role playing online game only.
You didn’t specify mmos in your question, and yes, it is an MMO.
no… its Role playing online game only.
MMORPG and RPG game is 2 different category.
Mmo is sort of where you can see other players in open world/map.
where gw1 u only can see players in a Area(City, district).
You asked a question, you didn’t like the answer, so you changed the question. Ok

Going to restate what the other poster said: GW1.
If I’m progressing my character, I’m not grinding. Just admit that you hate vertical progression at level cap and go back to GW1 or sign up for an MMOFPS.

Shadowbane, PvP-based MMORPG. (RIP )
GW1 was marketed as competitive online role-playing game. (CORPG) It provides two main modes of gameplay—a cooperative role-playing component and a competitive PvP component.
There comes a time where you exceed the threshold of what new content can be offered to the player. At this point the developers can go two ways. 1) end the content. Or; 2) create something that extents the time in which the player have to spend playing the content. But even if the developers choose the 2nd option, it is still only you, the player, who can choose to continue beyond that threshold. Meaning; if you don’t want to grind, you should take the fact that you are grinding as a sign of the event being over, for you.

All single player games.

The irony of the OP statement is the idea that the new dungeon suddenly makes earning gear a grind ..as if it wasnt here all along. Grind dungeon paths repeatedly get tokens grind till you get enough for what you want.
Karma gear grind event quests in orr etc till you get what you want doing the same thing over and over …grind.
Legendarys farm a ton of this, farm this grind that grind ..grind grind……grind.
So no, this is nothing new…infact the fact THIS dungeon is actually entertaining to do makes it feel less of a grind, as i usually tie grind to doing something repetitive that i dont enjoy in the first place. Granted you’ll probably get bored of it eventually..but thats why it spontaniously gives you different dungeons and as you do it more it gets harder and things change slightly to try to keep it fresh. If anything the new dungeon should be a break away from ..simply grinding something. I dunno thats just me though.

Which games in their development boasted about not being like all the other MMOs out there and creating a game without a gear grind?
I’ll start the list… Guild Wars 2, please continue adding to the list.

This x 1000, though..in truth its because it was PvP based..not Pve based with PvP added in to fill a niche.

GW1
Yeah..I have alot of friends who played Gw1 and there was plenty of grinding in Gw1..they just hid it underneath different forms of currency, you were still on rails..the rails were just hidden a bit better.
