GW2 control setup
I thought of getting a gaming mouse when I first started playing, but once I got used to my scheme I found it completely unnecessary. On my elementalist I use:
-wasd for moving and strafing (change a and d to strafe instead of turning)
-space for dodge
-left alt for jump
-12345 for weapon skills
-qer for skills and t for elite
-middle mouse button for heal skill
-zxcv for attunements/class skills if not elementalist (most important part of my setup imo)
-mouse right click obviously for turning camera
Endless Petrification Tonic
Right hand:
- Move with mouse (melee class, no need for strafe or wasd bs)
- Camera on right click
- (thumb) Utilities+Elite on mouse buttons
Left hand:
- F1→F5 weapon skills
- 1→4 profession skills
- (thumb) X swap C dodge V heal SPACE jump
Never need to reposition my hands/fingers, very comfortable and reactive setup for me.
I use my arrow keys for movement, shift for jump, ctrl to dodge (super pinkie) and my mouse to click the skills. I play a lot of first person shooters so prefer this way as opposed to pressing 1-0 on the keyboard in combat.
I recently got a gaming mouse and put Inventory, Character, Weapon Swap etc. on the buttons. I tried putting jump/dodge on it but it was too confusing after using the keys for months.
I have a gaming mouse that can map some button on to it.
Mostly use the default control while move some of those hard to reach button to the mouse.Take sometime to get used too but payoff really well later.
Mouse for camera, everything else on keyboard. On the azerty I’ve got esdf for movement, zrtg weapon skills, bvcx class skills, wqa utility, space basic attack and some other stuff.
