I have to make a thread and say that I think this game is good, it’s ok, it’s great, fantastic, excellent, radical, bodacious, mesmerising, cool, wonderfull, dazzling, special, it’s the sort of game you sit playing with perfect posture because thats the position that buys you a few more minutes at your seat from your completly full bladder before you absolutly must go. It’s the sort of game that reduces your diet to things you can put on a tray and leave in the oven for 20 minutes unattended and then consumed in a large bowl using only a fork whilst ketchup provides your only source of vitamins for the day. The sort of game where fellow parents in years to come would understand you if upon the first day of nursery you explained that your child is called “Arenanets Guild Wars 2 Harrison”. (Can I do one more? please?) It’s the sort of game that if you came back from 3 week vacation and showed your family your screenshot folder of 1536 files, they’d say, “fair play son, we best order in some pizza’s eh?”.

Guild Wars 2 is the best game I have played all year. Infact, last year Deus Ex human Revolution, Skyrim and Bastion combined probably beat the enjoyment I’ve had here in Guild Wars 2 BUT GW2 would be prettykittenclose. Seriously, Autumn 2011 was amazing for games. Anyway, for me it is simply about seeing how much attention a game has been given and with this game you can clearly see it. If you love games like I do then it’s a no brainer, Guild Wars 2 is great.

The soundtrack, the landscapes, the design of everything in it’s own area, the colour choices, the sounds as you interact and walk around, the character dialogue, the voice acting, the text everywhere, the everythingeverythingeverythingeverything is ALL great.

Some of you are not understand this…why are you not understanding this? It’s the greatest theme park world ever. Never once at Disney land/world did a person ever say, “You know…I’m just so bored. What is there to do here? I mean really? I’ve been on every ride, I’ve seen everything in 4 days and we have a 2 week vacation here”.

I think to truly appreciate a game, and get right into it and be part of a world is the best type of gamer you can be. A game can be a shooter or a platformer or a whatever-er and if you just appreciate it for what it is and don’t try make it into something else, you will enjoy it more and won’t have wasted your time.

Here like this. Some of you are the sort of gamer that can be compared to a movie executive producer who reads a script that allready works and is just a msterpiece and then meets with the writer. The writer says, “Ok so this is a story about redemption and forgiveness as the protagonist is this down and out, broken old Vietnam veteran who made some bad choices whilst in the war and he-” and the EP interupts him and says, “Yea so we were talking about this old man main character and we think that maybe he could be younger say, 25 or something who works in a bookstore, he’s got conflicting issues with where he is in life and we have the ideal candidate for him… what do you think about, Dane Cook!? right? riiiiight?”.

Some of you have done this to other games in the past, the same people, or completly new ones are doing this all over again. And I, am writing a thread that’s been said 1000 times before. How cliche, but it’s my turn to write it see!

TLDR: <—- if you are the sort that needs this, you are a vista skipping, dialogue escaping, cry baby “waaaa end content waaa I rushed through it all waaaa” bum face. Yes I said it, you’re a bum face! /squarego

I skipped to the TL;DR part right after the 1st paragraph. I believe he is trying to say Guild Wars 2 is a great game, for those who don’t like to rush their way through the content as fast as possible.

Anyways, I agree with him. I have friends who got 80 in a couple days and now are somewhat bored playing alts, while I’m still having a blast myself =)
