GW2 lacks continuance? (PVE)
I think most people and devs would say simply the “Living Story”, and content released after.

Ideally, you keep playing the game because you simply enjoy it. I feel this is an attainable goal, however they have a long way to go in regards to properly balancing open world content difficulty (it’s too easy) and getting all the traits/weapons/etc balanced as to create more engaging combat and more builds for players to customize and use.
1) Fractals. Serious, I think I’m addicted to these things.
2) The Eternal Battlegrounds jump puzzle (aka the Murder Pit).
3) World boss events. Yes, I was doing these before the upgraded loot. Love the epic feels.
4) The World. Got my map completion months ago but still discovering things to this day. It’s gorgeous.
5) The Community. Best, funniest, friendliest community of gamers I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with.
6) Collecting all teh things. Gear, weapons, skins, pets, dyes, toys, etc.
But no matter what goals I may have for my play sessions, I can find anytime I log in to be completely swept away doing something completely different. Game is distracting as kitten because it’s so much fun!
GW2 PvE lacks the challenge we had in GW1, and lacks more methods to get items.
But the rest is fine overall.
My friends, seriously, i play to be social, if they left i’d probably have zero reason to stay, not much has been added since Halloween to be considered worth staying for..
Six month old MMO is a six month old MMO. Every single six month MMO I’ve ever played has the we don’t have enough content thing on the forum. Content takes time to make. The game takes time to make. Bugs take time to fix. It’s all about time.
In two years time this game will have a ton of stuff. No game company can put out an MMO that has enough for you to do, particularly if you have like a legendary after two months.
Content burners will be in the same box no matter how much content a developer offers.
I play because I have fun with my friends.
having a game i can play, simply, for love of the game? priceless.
